~ ~ ~ 1988After a long night of calming blossom down (and arguing with Trent) Natalie was tiredly going through her kids backpacks to double check they had everything they would need
And to make sure they weren't bringing anything they weren't supposed to like Elena for example trying to bring her Cabbage Patch Kid along with a couple Polly Pockets.
Trent approaches his wife cautiously, he sure got an earful last night and was hoping he could make it up to her now that they both have calmed down.
"I-uh I called ze haer salon and booked blossom an appoint-ment fir next veek..." Trent spoke "it vas ze soonest time ze had."
"Thank you Trent.."
"At leasst you still have one daughter vith normal haer?" The man jokes, getting a small laugh out of his wife
"No Trent, I'm not still mad at you. I'm just tired." Natalie added, rubbing the sleep from her eyes
"Vhy don't you let me take zhem to sschool and you stay ent rest? It'z not far" Suggested Trent, snaking his arm around Natalie's waist to hug her from behind.
"That sounds amazing but I have to fill out some final paperwork at the school, talk to their teachers, and then run errands in town."
"I could do zhat." Trent says and Natalie raises an eyebrow at him "ok..maybe not." Replies Trent with a chuckle
"You can however go wake them up?"
"I don't zink blossom wantss to see me." He says and Natalie raises a hand to cup the side of his face
"Aww...too bad!" Natalie joked with a small laugh, patting the side of his face. He rolls his eyes and begrudgingly lets go to head up stairs.

Trent was right, blossom did not want to see him. She didn't say a word to him during breakfast or even on the walk to school. Just silently held Natalie's hand as the 5 of them walked the side walk.
Trent definitely wouldn't be cutting any of the girl's hair any more.
"My feet hurttt..." Elena whines, stomping her feet on the pavement
"Elena not this again, the school isn't even 5 minutes from our house! Look their's our house" Natalie says turning around to point at the family's home which indeed wasn't far then back around towards the medium size red brick building that was their elementary school. "and there's the school!"
"Nooooo..." Elena whines again, fully stopping this time.
Trent gives a sigh and looks at his wife. She gives him a small nod and in response he picks up Elena like a sack of potatoes.
She laughs loudly as he purposely walks funny and tickles her to make the walk to school more enjoyable
"Me! Me! Do me! My feet hurt too!" Ethan pleads like little attention seeker he is and Trent throws him over his other shoulder.
"Blossom do you want to do it too? I'm sure he could hold you aswell?" Natalie asks and blossom shakes her head angrily, tugging on her knitted hat to pull it over her eyes.
With a few more short steps the family of 5 reached the gate of the school and Trent dropped the 2 kids he was carrying so they could run and join the other kids who were playing on the playground outside.
Blossom goes to join too after Natalie had let go but Trent pulls her back gently
"Hey kiddo, look I'm ssorry about your haer I really didn't mean to. Can you forgive me?" The man says with a pout like expression and blossom thinks for a moment
"Maybe...later." She says before running away to the playground. Trent gives a sigh, muttering under his breath how she is stubborn like her mother.

Blossom looks around the playground at all the other kids, not only was it kindergarteners she could see there was some bigger kids there too but who she couldn't see was her sister and brother.
Not wanting to waste her play time finding them, decides she wants to go play on the swing set while it's still vacant
It takes her a moment to get herself going, little legs and all, but blossom was no quitter and eventually she gets the swing to go
Blossom laughs in amusement, feeling her hat fall off her head and not caring where it went or where it landed.
Swinging was the closest thing to flying she's ever experienced and wanted to make it last for as long as possible
Her fun was cut short unfortunately as a boy around her age stood in front of her swinging area, loudly shouting for her to stop.
She manages to stop the swing just in time before hitting him in the face and yells back "Don't do that! That's dangerous don't you know?!"
"Sorry I-I just wanted to know if you wanted to play He-Man with me and my friends? We need someone to be Skeletor" the boy asks, pushing his shaggy brown hair out of his face to reveal more of his grass green eyes.
"No yuck He-Man is for boys. I wanna swing." Blossom says, sitting back up on the piece of rubber but notices hunters confused expression
"But..aren't you a boy? You look like a boy?" He innocently questions, lightly tilting his head to one side in confusion.
Blossom can't stop the tears that fall down her face upon hearing those words.
No she wasn't a boy, why couldn't this random kid tell that by the bright colored clothing she was wearing? This was exactly what she didn't want to happen.
This was all her dad's fault for giving her this ugly hair cut, she missed her long hair so much. She was really mad at her dad in that moment but her dad wasn't around.
It was just the little confused boy standing in front of her, clutching a He-Man action figure in one hand and scratching his head with the other.
Blossom snapped, she was gonna make sure everyone knew who she was.
"I'm. Not. A. Boy!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs rushing off the swing, picking up a handful of sand and throwing directly into the boys eyes
The kid tried to cover them but it was too late, he cried in pain as the sand felt like tiny needles in his eyes.
With his blurred vision he had no way of knowing that she would push him hard by his shoulders, making him fall down
Blossom screamed at him once more how she was not a boy and that she didn't ask for her hair to be cut like this.
Not in control of her own emotions she also starts crying and that's when a group of teachers and parents finally hear what's going on and rush over to assess the situation.
A couple teachers help him off the ground looking him once over while the others were talking to blossom.
They see that he has sand in his eyes so one picks him up to take him to the nearby hose.
"Here honey I'm just gonna rinse out your eyes really quick ok?" The boy nods, still crying as The teacher hold the hose up to his eyes and gently washes the sand away.
Now that the sand was out of his eyes it seemed to have calmed him down a lot. She asks for his name and he replies with a sniff
"Hunter Roxton"
"Well Hunter Roxton can you tell me what happened?" The teacher asked in her kindest voice still checking him over to make sure he wasn't hurt anywhere else
"I...I think...I think I'm in love with her."
