She stared into her blue eyes, observing her blond hair, and constantly started to inhale and exhale. There was a distant sound of laughter and chatting behind the doors but she managed to block it out for now.
"Come on" Christine whispered to herself, leaning gently forward holding both sides of the sink, closer to her own reflection in the mirror where she met her own blue eyes once again "Why so nervous?" she uttered again underneath a soft titter. She felt her heart beat quicker than usual, her hands were wet and clammy, realizing that she was not alone in the bathroom hearing a toilet flush she got herself together giving a soft polite grin to the stranger washing her hands next to her. She fixed her floral printed head scarf and made her way out, the silence disappeared and the music once again surrounded her, the bar was opened from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am on Friday's, another reason why she came here to let lose.
"Where's Lori and Sharon?" Christine asked. Stevie without saying a word mentioned her arm behind her without looking and very aware what they were doing, Christine turned to see the girls doing at karaoke and weren't obviously bad at it, they had the crowd going.
"Well then" Christine snickered turning her eyes back at Stevie, who did not look like her mind was here, Stevie was writing on her notebook but that wasn't new.
"Is that for the track?" Christine asked taking a view at it from the side. Stevie nodded, sliding the book to her side on the table.
"Yeah, this line has been repeating over and over my head" Stevie said.
There wasn't much written, it was like Stevie has been thinking hard. Christine thought how kind of crazy it was that Stevie could be so concentrated on a song while being a room that smelled like alcohol and loud music, Stevie always seemed to impress Christine although Christine shouldn't be. It read:
Please, I've been taking my time.
You know it's been on my mind
I hope you find a love, your own designs of love.Christine should've even be this impressed about these few lines she has written, that's one of the things Christine loved about Stevie, she was like no other artist. Stevie could write two lines and tell a entire story with those lines.
"This is very brilliant, perhaps put it as the bridge of the song" Christine suggested sliding the book back. Stevie smiled and took a sip from her cup, realizing the drink was nearly gone. Sitting at this bar she wasn't so used to, she was used to being home, sipping and writing. She stared at the opened note book, reading over and over at her own lyrics. Christine knew by the looks of Stevie's not sure enjoying the bar she had the idea to leave early.
"Alright, on we go" Christine said.
"We're leaving already?" Stevie called out loudly, at the softness and scratchy voice it wasn't as loud as she thought'd it'd be, she'd been singing all week and most of her voice was used to yell at Lindsey. But yet again her voice was just naturally that way.
"We just got here" Stevie uttered loudly this time.
"It's much fun at my place, or yours, which ever" Christine added in.
"Oh you planned to party somewhere else, I gotta go actually" Lori said over hearing behind Christine and taking another gulp of her drink, Sharon took her purse hugging Stevie and Christine both at the same time.
"Whoa, wait and where are you going?" Christine asked.
"Lori's slightly drunk, I'll be driving her home, Bye guys"

Christine's place was surrounded with a garden, her mansion had a Indian kind of theme to it, and the door was like a large, carved wooden door with tribal-like symbols. Stevie has visited a few times but each time she came, it was almost like new thing's she noticed about her place. Stevie brushed her fingers softly over the top left corner of the carved door "Positive in, negativity out" She said underneath her breath.
