The day progressed fairly slowly, with no sight of Lennon or Skye, which didn't exactly ease my tension of either one finding out.

I decided to keep this time from Skye because I didn't want anything from Skye's "Lennon having a crush on me" theory.

My legs dangle from the end of the astronomy tower, my head resting on a cold cobblestone wall as gentle winds stir the hovering thoughts in my head. The sky is brushed with purple, orange, pink, and dark blue, all swirling in perfect harmony. I close my eyes at the beautiful scene and groan softly as a smooth voice interrupts the beautiful calmness circling me.

"Snape told me you need to come to the common room. It's nearly curfew." Draco's annoyingly slick voice asserts, causing me to join eyes with the boy standing at the door to the astronomy tower's entry.

"Tell him you couldn't find me," I say with a shrug, returning my gaze to the painted sky. "I don't feel like coming."

"Well, if you insist," Draco mumbles, closing the door with his wand before sitting down next to me, also dangling his legs from the tower.

"What?" I inquire, surprised that he's listening to me rather than turning me in. "You're not going to make me come back?"

He meets my sideways gaze with his gray eyes, a small, genuine smile tugging at his lips. "Of course not, Draper. If Snape asks, I'll lie. Easy as that." He says with a shrug as he observes the atmosphere in front of us.

"Thanks," I mutter, grateful for the awkward kindness the boy was showing.

We sit silently as the sky turns progressively darker, shrouding the once-illuminated floor in the cool dusk. The winds blow slightly harsher, and a small sniff reminds me that there was a second life-form here with me.

"What happened last night," Draco mumbles, causing me to meet his gray eyes with my y/e/c ones. "I don't know why I did it."

"It's, well, not fine, I guess, but as long as it doesn't happen again, right?" I say as my heart rate progressively speeds up. "But hey, looks like I'm not the only one that made the first move then, huh?" I smirk, trying to ease the tension rising in the open area.

"Shut up," He chuckles back, the missing snarkiness restored.

"You want to stay up here for today?" He asks me as a lopsided grin forms on his face, the wind ruffling his hair and collar.

"Sure, but won't Snape catch us?" I reply, worry rising in my throat at the thought of being caught.

"Nah," He mutters as he leans against the same wall as me, our chests raising in unison as my eyes close into a steady sleep.

Small raindrops drizzle onto my shirt as my eyes flicker open to the gray skies above me.

A small groan escapes my lips as I raise my head slightly off Draco's shoulder before a huge wave of realization smashes over me.

Draco's shoulder? Seriously?

I raise my head completely off the warm boy's body, muttering a small teeth-cleaner charm before groggily getting up. My eyes lock with the gently closed ones of Draco's, noticing the way his eyebrows slightly pinch together and his cheeks slightly pink.

He looked innocent, nothing like the sarcastic, confident boy that roamed the schools through the day.

I bit my lip at the sudden urge to go near the warmth of his body once more, but several voices heading toward us snap me out of the absurd thoughts in my head.

"Draco," I hiss with wide eyes at the realization that 20 kids could come bursting through the door at any moment as I shake the boy gently. "Wake up,"

He flinches, muttering, "Good morning to you too. Merlin's beard, that's my thank you for letting you sleep on my shoulder?" before his eyes also widen at the voices coming towards us.

"Shit. Tetlificus," He says as he rubs his face, muttering the same teeth-cleaning charm before quickly getting up, grabbing my forearm gently as he pulls us into a small door I hadn't noticed yesterday night.

"This is bad," He whispers.

"Yeah, no shit, Draco." I hiss back, earning a sharp glare from the boy across from me.

Our eyes dart around the small crevice, now locking onto a small broom with red and green embroidery. One small nod is all it takes, and before I know it, I'm clutching onto Draco's back, screaming as we soar above the clouds on a broomstick.

"Are you mad?" I yelp as we quickly descend 50 feet, most likely breaking his ribs judging by how tightly I gripped him.

"No!" He yells back with a whoop as he spins upside-down on the rod, resulting in a smirk shot back at me. "I'm a seeker, remember?"

I squeeze my eyes shut as the winds blow through our hair, aggressively whipping my ponytail around before calming down at a quick stop. My eyes slowly reopen, and Draco's hand is stuck out slightly for me to grab as I step, not as gracefully as I would've liked, off the broomstick.

"Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, do that again, Draco Malfoy," I say with a slight quiver as my feet adjust to the wonderful floor.

"I'll take that as a reminder to very much do that when you least expect it then," he smirks, earning himself a pained eye-roll from me.

"Sure. I got to go take a shower real quick," I retort with a laugh as we jog into the common room as fast as we can, my heart still pounding from the exhilarating experience I had just endured.

A/n: I really love this chapter idk why

Also I'm starting 8th grade soon and I'm kinda nervous... any tips?😬

Speaking of 8th grade, this means that I can't post multiple chapters in a day, and I'll only write like one cause I have so many extracurriculars too

I might use the tool to schedule when I post so I'm still technically posting but not stressing over writing

Hopefully you enjoyed this chapter so I'll see you in the next one 😘
