The next few weeks were absolute shit.

I hadn't spoken with Lennon ever since he shouted at me and Draco that morning in the common room.

I know part of Lennon's anger was because of my secrecy, but sharing everything about my life with him was my choice.

To be frank, I hated it. I hated having to keep secrets from Lennon. I hated not having Lennon with me.

I hated every fucking thing about this situation.

To compensate, I spent as much time in the dorms as possible, spoke with Skye about everything, and anytime I saw Draco, I forced myself to not talk to him. I threw myself into situations where I would do anything to make amends for the fact I might have lost my best friend. Completely.

It was nearly nighttime, but Skye and I needed to finish making a potion for Snape, but it was far too runny.

"Ugh!" I groan, running a hand through my loose hair as I squeeze my eyes in concentration to remember the potion-thickening substance we could use. "If only I could remember what it was, we would be done by now!"

"Zis iz silly! Why muzt zat greazy -'aired man make uz do zis during zee night?" Skye mumbles as she adds turmeric to the soupy mixture in her cauldron. Shaking my head up and down in response, I press a clammy hand to my forehead before a wave of relief washes over me as I recollect the ingredients needed for the potion to thicken.

"Skye!" I exclaim, my voice echoing throughout the small greenhouse. "Flobberworm mucus! It'll help thicken the potion, and then we can go turn in the potion to Snape."

Skye looks thoughtful for a moment and then nods her head in agreement. "Exzellent! You go grab zee wormz, and I shall put zee powders. We will be zon in no time!"

I rush out the greenhouse doors, the stars prickling among the black curtain of the sky. After making my way near the Whomping Willow to pick up some of the worms, I exhale a long sigh, closing my eyes in exhaustion, when a scream knocks me back to the present.

"Harry! Hermoine! Run! It's the Grim!" A familiar voice shouts. A scream follows, and when I whip my head backward to see the commotion, I see Ron getting dragged into the Whomping Willow by a large black dog.

"Ron!" I yell, dropping my flobberworms onto the floor as I run after him, Harry and Hermoine following.

"Y/n!" Harry and Hermoine cry, grabbing either one of my hands as we jog down various steps into the Shrieking Shack. Ron's shouts shroud the dark, wooden, splintery mansion, followed by a bark from the dog.

"There!" Hermoine shouts, dragging me and Harry into a room, only to see Ron sprawled out on the floor, his leg completely mangled.

"Ron! Your leg!" Harry yells, crouching over to examine the bloody mess. My eyes follow the trail of large paw prints along the dusty floor, confusion rising in my throat as they begin to turn into shoeprints leading to a tall, dirty-looking man. A gasp escapes my lips as I see who it is, and I shout, "Sirius Black!"

Harry's face immediately whips around, his lime-green eyes flaming as he pulls out his wand. "You!" He hisses as he lunges forward in sync with Sirius, only for Ron to get up sharply, jumping in front of Harry.

"If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too!" He yells, clearly wincing at the pain. Hermoine hushes Ron back to sit down after some hesitation, and Sirius laughs loudly before another figure enters the room.

"Professor Lupin?" I shout, noticing the unmistakable scratches on his face and the shabby robes he always wore.

"Ms. Draper," He says cooly, merely nodding his head in the direction of Sirius. Lupin sticks out his hand to Sirius, helping him up off the floor after Harry had shot a spell to knock him off his feet, before pulling him into a close hug.

"What?" The four of us say in unison as Lupin and Sirius pull apart.

"This whole time, you've been his friend!" Hermoine shouts, pointing an accusing finger at them as she pulls her wand out from her pink jacket. Lupin chokes out a laugh as Sirius doubles over hysterically, the moon creating a maniacal gleam in his eyes.

"Sirius," Lupin mutters. "Is innocent."

"No, he isn't!" Harry shouts, getting up from beside Ron and lifting his wand again. "He's the reason my parents are dead!"

"That's a lie!" Lupin and Sirius yell in unison.

"Someone in here indeed played a part in the death of your parents, Harry," Sirius hisses before pointing a finger at Ron. "And he's right there!"

"Me? He's barking mad, Harry! I swear!"

"Not you, the rat!" Sirius growls, yanking the ugly gray rat from Ron's quivering hands. "Come out, come out wherever you are, Peter!" He sings in a harsh, low voice, holding the rat up to the ceiling. Lupin points a wand at it, and before I know it, a man emerges from the rat, his red eyes scanning the room before landing on me.

A/n: What do we think

Like I said Draco isn't going to be in a few chapters cause I do have to make it feel like we are part of the storyline

Heads up I'm not going to add all of the stuff in between cause it feels like TOO MANY details

Lemme know how I'm doing so far 😅

Love you so much and I'll see you in the next chapter ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍
