Saelora has been in Kattegat for a while now. Ragnar had called for all of his allies to discuss helping Saelora and her mother in a war. Saelora was currently in the forest with Gaelithox who was rolling around in the grass. Floki had made it very clear he hated the large dragon and wanted him out of the forest but could do nothing.
"Do they usually get that big?" Ivar asked as he crawled into the clearing and sat on a rock.
"Well the biggest dragon in history was a dragon called Balerion. He was called Balerion the Black Dread. He was so large, it was told his shadow could swallow an entire town when he took flight." Saelora replied with a smile. "But yes they do get big. The largest dragon right now is my uncle Aemond's dragon, Vhagar."
"You do not like Aemond I assume?" Ivar asked.
"I don't. I've hated him since I was a child. I was once betrothed to him-" Saelora said.
"You were betrothed to your uncle?" Ivar interrupted.
"Yes, in my family it is common for brothers to marry sisters. And uncles to marry nieces. Cousins marry cousins. It's a way to keep the blood pure in my family." Saelora answered.
"Do you not find that disturbing?" Ivar asked.
"I do which is why I had complained to my parents to not marry me to him. Aemond is my mother's younger half brother." Saelora said.
"I find that disturbing in many ways." Ivar said.
"So do I." Saelora replied.
Gaelithox made a noise and Saelora turned to her dragon.
"Go hunt if you must." Saelora said with a smile.
Gaelithox immediately flew up into the air and flew away.
"You just allow him to fly off without you?" Ivar asked.
"He will come back. We are bonded. I bonded with him in my cradle." Saelora said. "He's been my loyal companion for over nineteen years."
