CHAPTER 3-Edward and Bella Time

Edward's POV

As I looked down at my Bella she looked back at me with her beautiful big brown eyes and I could see the love she has for me in them.

"Edward, I need to feed her" Esme told me.

I tried to hand Bella of to Esme but a soon as I did, she started to wail.

Everyone was around her and they all took turns holding her trying to calm her when Alice spoke up

"She wants Edward! It's kind of obvious!"

Alice had a smug smile on her face obviously noticing the connection between Bella and I.

Everyone looked at me as Jasper put her in my arms.

She immediately stopped crying and I took the bottle full of milk from Esme and began feeding her.

Her eyelids started to droop as she was finishing her bottle. She snuggled deeper into my chest and fell asleep.

"I'm gonna put her in my bed" I declared quietly to my family so I wouldn't wake Bella.

No one tried to stop me as I made my way upstairs.

I quickly changed Bella's diaper and put on some PJ's at vampire speed, so I wouldn't wake her.

As I began to lay my Bella down on the huge bed she started to cry. I calmed her down again and tried once more.

She cried harder this time.

I decided I would just hold her. I sat down in a rocking chair in my room and held my Bella in my arms all night long.

She didn't wake up once, which was quiet surprising considering that she is only a newborn.

I started to him a lullaby that I had been composing in my head for my little angel.

She looked so calm and peaceful.

The next morning Bella woke up and she looked at me and immediately smiled.

"Hi my Bella!" I cooed.

She giggled. She was almost like an adult in some ways. She is a very smart baby.

I went downstairs with her cuddling in my arms. She was playing with the small buttons on my shirt. Alice was there to take her to get dressed.

As I handed Bella to Alice she started to whimper. It's like she knew what was coming.

She went anyway and I went to find Carlisle.

I knocked on his study door and he told me to come in.

"Dad, I can't hear Bella's thoughts" I said to him.

"How peculiar. I wonder if its genetic?"

"I have no idea dad."

"Thank you for telling me. I'll get on the research right after work" he said excitedly.

I went back to the kitchen to find Bella in a pink and purple summer dress with a white cardigan to keep her warm.

Her face lit up into a breathtaking smile when she saw me.

After her breakfast, no one dared to take her from me. I know I'm being a little over protective, but I need to be! She is human in a house full of vampires!

I took Bella to our room and I read her a story and she fell asleep on my chest.

I like this time with her.

I love our Edward and Bella time!
