CHAPTER 11-The Meadow/Telling Bella

Edward’s POV

We continued to run through the forest, until we were about 5 minutes from the meadow and we stopped.

I put Bella on the ground and got to eye-level with her.

“Bella, I want you to close your eyes. No peeking!” I said, and she giggled.

I picked her up again and we took off.

I set Bella down in the middle of the meadow and started to set up.

I took out the blanket I packed and laid it out and sat down, holding Bella on my lap.

“Ok, Bella. Open your eyes!”

She opened her eyes up and they widened as she looked around the meadow.

"What is this place Ed?!" Bella asked her eyes getting wide.

"This is my meadow Bella, I wanted to share it with you. I have never brought anyone here but you."

She looked up at me, her eyes glistening with tears.

"Thank you Ed, it's beautiful! I love you so much!"

"I love you too princess," I whispered in her ear.

She took off and laid in  the middle of our meadow on the blanket.

I love that!

I ran to her and lasted down with her, starting at the clouds.

Man, I love her! I can't wait for her to grow up-not that I don't love her being little-and become my girlfriend and eventually my wife.

I look over at Bella and notice she has fallen asleep.

How long was I thinking?

I shoo her up and take off with her in my arms, looking over her beautiful face.

I am completely in love with her!

I waltz into the house and lay her in my bed-she prefers my bed over hers.

I quietly close the door and race to my piano, playing Esme's song. I smell her before I see her, while I'm playing I can feel her eyes on my back.

"Thank you Edward,"

"you're welcome mom,"

I realize that I have been playing for an hour when I hear Bella start to toss and turn.

I race to my room only to be met by Emmett.

"it's my turn Edward, you've had her all day!" he complains.

"Fine, I guess you can have a turn with my Bella," I said knowing I would lose.

Emmett raced in and scooped her up.

"Hey little B! Want to play Mario kart with me?" he asked her.

Through his mind I could see her eyes light up at the thought of playing her favorite game with her big brother.

"Sure Emmett! I love Mario kart!"

With that she took off running towards the tv.

"I'm gonna beat you Em!" she said.

"I don't think so little B!" he called back.

They set up the Wii and settled in on the couch. The game started and they both took off.

Bella was really good! She was beating Emmett-much to his disappointment.

Bella's excitement only doubled when she beat him.

Emmett put down the remote looking very sad. His thoughts were sad too. it's only a game against a 4 year old for crying out loud!

"Ed, I won!" Bella rejoiced.

"Good job little B!" Emmett said a little happier.

"Ed, will you play the piano for me again?" Bella asked.

"of course princess," I said.

And that's just what I did.

1 year later (Bella is 5)

"Bella, have you noticed something different about us?" I asked.

"yes, you don't ever eat and you are really cold and your eyes are gold!" she said.

"Bella I'm gonna tell you something, but I don't want you to be afraid," I said calmly.

She nodded at me, urging me forward. Such a smart girl.

"Bella, all of us are...um...we're vampires," I said, holding my breath.

"Really?! That's so cool!"

"But you can't tell anyone princess," I explained.

"Ok, I love you and I want to be a vampire to one day!"

I get to keep her forever.
