CHAPTER 4-Bella's 1st birthday Part 1

Edward'a POV

My Bella was turning 1 today! I can't believe how fast time flies by with her! She is my little angel.

As I watch her sleeping in my big bed, (she refuses to sleep anywhere but there) surround by at least 10 pillows. I can't help but wonder what's going on in her tiny mind.

'Don't forget the Denali's are coming for Bella's birthday party' Alice reminded me.

Man. I would have to see Tanya! She would probably throw herself at me like usual. It was so annoying.

"Ed?" A tiny voice called from the pillows said.

"Good morning my little angel! Happy 1st birthday little Bella!!" I said enthusiastically.

"What's a birthday?" She asked.

"It's the day you were born Bella."

"Oh"was all she said.

Before she could ask anymore questions, her stomach growled and she giggled.

"Are you hungry?" I asked already knowing the answer.

She nodded her head just as Alice came in.

"Time to get dressed Bella!" She said being her hyper, keyed up self.

Bella groaned. She hated when Alice played "Dress up Bella"

"I'll have Momma get your breakfast ready" I told Bella.

"Ed, can momma make me pwancakes?" She asked grinning.

"Of course!" I said back to her.

I went down stairs and Esme had already heard our conversation and started making pancakes at vampire speed.

"Edward, can you get out the orange juice?" Esme asked.

"Sure mom" I said.

Her insides always melted when I called her that.

Just as I got a sippie cup full of orange juice for Bella she came scooting down the stairs on her bum.

As soon as she reached the bottom, she started taking shaky steps toward the kitchen.

I watched her carefully to make sure she wouldn't fall down.

Just as she reached the kitchen she got in a hurry and tripped. I ran** to catch her before she hurt herself.

"Ed! You is so fast!" She yelled with excitement in her voice.

"I know sweetheart! Come sit down and eat you pancakes" she sat down in her chair and began to eat.

When she was done she thanked Esme and went to find Emmett.

I knew immediately that Bella wanted to play Mario kart with him on the Wii.

"Emmmm!!!! I wanna play Mawio kart wif you!" She screamed through the house crawling her way up the stairs to Emmett's room.

"Hey squirt!" Emmett called to Bella as he whisked her up the stairs.

I could hear Emmett turning on the Wii and Emmett tickling Bella.

"Ok squirt! You press this button and ill steer!" Emmett said showing Bella what button to push.

"I know what button Em!" Bella giggled.

Emmett and Bella won first place and by this time she was hungry again.

She came down the stairs, Emmett holding her, and said "Ed! Can I have a snack pwease?"

I went to the pantry and got her a fruit snack. Repulsive food-even for humans.

As soon as Bella finished her snack, the doorbell rang.

I opened the door and saw the Denali's.

Tanya was making google eyes at me-oh joy.
