Chapter six - Change and a memory

Sabre and Orange are renovating the basement to turn it into a hangout spot, Sabre is hanging up lanterns while Orange is creating blankets and other kinds of comfy items, Tangerine comes down every now and then to check on the two, eventually they finish up and Tangerine comes down with cookies,

"Hey! I made oatmeal raisin cookies and chocolate chip cookies!" Tangerine said as he entered the hangout, Sabre and Orange both walked over, each grabbing a cookie, "Thank you." the two said as they both started eating a cookie each, Tangerine smiled and also ate one himself,

The three ate cookies for a while until Sabre noticed something, "Hey Tangerine, why is there a yellow spot on your chest?" Sabre pointed at a yellow spot that seemed to be slowly spreading across Tangerine's chest, "I don't know... It appeared after i had to distract those yellow Steves." Tangerine said sounding slightly worried, Sabre and Orange both noticed Tangerine's worry, "It'll probably go away with time, right?" Orange said trying to hide his uncertainty, Sabre and Tangerine both nod, a bit uncertain,

"Anyways! How did you get those gloves Tangerine?" Sabre asked trying to change the subject, "Oh! I had one of the others help me make them." Tangerine answered happy about the change of subject, the three talk about other things for a bit until Tangerine is called to deal with more Steves that are coming towards the mansion, Orange follows to get Gerald leaving Sabre alone in the hangout basement.

~~ Tangerine's POV ~~

One of the others called me up while i was talking to Sabre and Orange and asked if i could maybe run out and distract a large group of Orange and Yellow Steves that were on their way here, i agreed of course and started getting ready, when i deem myself ready i speed out and distract them, i feel that weird feeling i had last time but it's probably just because i haven't used my powers in a long time, at least that was one thing i got to kept, i feel like i'm forgetting something, a warning maybe?

It doesn't matter, what matters is making sure these Steves don't reach the mansion, i zoom around them causing them to go after me instead of towards the mansion, eventually i run to the edge of a cliff, 'shoot-' i thought, 'They're gonna catch me!' i turned around expecting to see a bunch of angry Steves ready to attack, instead i just saw the worried face of Lemon- wait- no that's not possible, Lemon is dead.

I shook my head and realized someone had put a sword to my throat, 'I'm screwed.' i looked up to see an Orange Steve looking at me with anger in his eyes, "What did you do to Orange." He hissed at me, "Nothing! I swear, i would never hurt a Steve, especially one who's friends with the son of my saviour." i told the guy, trying my best to stay calm and not freak out, "Who's your "Saviour"?" he asked in a serious tone, "Void, he saved me from dying due to my injuries." i replied as i took a step back, bad mistake. i almost fell off and would have if a different Orange Steve hadn't pushed past and saved me by grabbing my still gloved hands, he pulled me up and onto the ground, i looked at him and gave a sigh of relief, "Thank you.. i thought i was done for." i thanked the Orange Steve, "Y- uh, you're w-welco-" and then he was interrupted by the one with a sword, "Why did you save it Shy!? It's darkness!" he yelled causing the more nervous one to back up a bit and just bury into himself, "I have a name and i'm not an it." i mumbled, but the two heard me, "What-" "P-Pardon?" they both looked at me, almost as if they were shocked by the fact i had a name, "Yea, it's not a lot of us that have names, it's usually just those that used to be Steves, my name is Tangerine." This caught the attention of a Yellow Steve, "One of the two Yellow Steves that went missing years back? Where's Lemon then." They asked a bit harshly causing me to flinch, "He... He's dead. Now excuse me! I must take my leave!" i said quickly before speeding off, luckily none of the Yellow Steves followed me.

~~ back to sorta third person and the mansion ~~

Sabre and Orange were sitting outside of the mansion waiting for Tangerine to return, while they waited, Orange and Sabre talked about indigo and blue steves, Orange talked about the indigo steve he knew and explained he didn't know a lot about blue steves, they continued talking until Tangerine came back, "Hey Tangerine good to s-" Sabre cut himself off when he noticed Tangerine seemed to be crying, "What's wrong?" Orange and Sabre asked in unison, "It's nothing, let's go inside." Tangerine said, seeming to bury down whatever bothered him, "If you say so." "Okay." And so the three headed inside.

(Kinda got a bit lazy in the last part- also i'm not sure if i'll actually be able to make more non-canon characters as Minecraft Skins without thinking it looks bad or using skins i downloaded off the internet as an easy start, this came to me when i was trying to make my Rainbow Quest OC Raspberry as a Minecraft skin)
