ditto. sitting at the altar, kunimi felt the weight of the moment settle on his shoulders. he had already walked down the aisle, joining the other guests, and now all he could do was wait.
he couldn't even count how many times he had inhaled and exhaled in an attempt to steady his racing heart. every breath was a reminder of the anticipation building within him.
he wondered how y/n looked, but he already knew she would be the most beautiful person in his eyes. that thought alone was more than enough to calm some of his nerves.
he gave his best man, kindaichi, a quick side glance. "good luck." kindaichi whispered, his voice filled with genuine support.
kunimi nodded, a small smile playing on his lips as he returned his gaze to the front where more guests were making their way down the aisle. each passing moment brought him closer to seeing his bride, and the excitement was almost obvious.
he could hear the soft murmur of guests finding their seats, the rustle of dresses and suits, and the gentle clink of wedding rings being adjusted.
the atmosphere was charged with excitement and emotion, a perfect reflection of how the groom felt inside.
as the piano version of "iris" by the goo goo dolls began to play, signaling that y/n was about to make her entrance, kunimi took one final deep breath.
"this is it." he glanced at his friends in the front row, their encouraging smiles giving him strength. his eyes then locked onto the aisle, waiting for the moment he had been dreaming of for years.
the doors at the back of the venue slowly opened, and the room fell silent. kunimi's heart skipped a beat as he saw the first glimpse of her dress.
time seemed to slow down, and everything else faded away as he focused solely on his future wife, y/n.
when she finally appeared in full view, her beauty took his breath away. she looked radiant, her smile lighting up the entire room.
tears pricked at the corners of his eyes, but he didn't care. this was the moment he had been waiting for, the moment he would always remember as the day he began a new chapter with the love of his life.
y/n was with her parents, each holding one of her arms. the look of joy and pride on her parents' faces was unmistakable. kunimi's heart swelled with emotion, his eyes never leaving her.
as they walked down the aisle, he noticed mayuko, y/n's maid of honor, tears streaming down her cheeks. she was openly sobbing, clearly overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment.
y/n and her parents reached the altar, and her father placed her hand in kunimi's, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
he gently squeezed y/n's hand, feeling the warmth and comfort of her touch. she looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with happiness and a hint of nervousness.
