Hours went by and the time came, I woke up this morning with a knot in my stomach,
AsI stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the black dress that hugged my curves perfectly. The dark and smokey makeup added an edge to my look, contrasting sharply with the elegant setting of the upcoming wedding, as my red long hair flowed down my back.
Once my makeup was done, I walked out of the room, my heels clicking against the polished floor. As I emerged, I heard gasps and whispers. A designer I had sent out earlier rushed towards me, panic etched on her face.
"You must change! We can't let you leave like this!" she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation.
I halted in my tracks, fixing her with a steely glare. "I'm the one with my life on the line. Have some sympathy and let me do as I please ," I retorted sharply, brushing past her without another word
I arrived soon at the town hall where the wedding was to take place, A crowd had gathered, and with my head held high I stepped out of the car  faces turned towards me in astonishment. Cameras flashed, as gasps and words of horror filled the air, some started at me in horror and I did nothing but smirk.
My father, in his finest suit, stood near the entrance. His eyes widened in shock as they fell upon me. Anger flickered behind his gaze, but he remained frozen in place, I knew he wouldn't react as it would ruin the public image he had created.
"Your Excellency, he's getting impatient. We must move," his secretary urged urgently, breaking the tense silence that hung between us.
My father tore his gaze away from me, his expression hardening into a mask of authority. With a forced smile, he nodded. "Of course, we proceed." His voice, though controlled, betrayed a hint of fear.
He approached me, his hand outstretched to take mine. His grip was firm, and  painful, as he led me towards the grand doors of the Town Hall.
"Your insolence will have us all killed ," he muttered under his breath, his anger barely contained.
Soon as we walked in, I caught sight of him immediately, even when I woke a black veil that didn't stop me from catching sight of him.
He was standing tall beside the priest, his gaze fixed upon me with an inscrutable expression. His red eyes seemed to pierce through me, yet his face showed no emotion.
As I approached him, my future husband, his demeanor remained stoic. There was no warmth in his gaze, no flicker of emotion. It chilled me to the bone, more than any icy wind ever could.
The priest began the ceremony, his voice a solemn drone in the background. My mind raced, thoughts scattering like leaves in the wind.
Was there a way out?
I knew I had to find a way to escape him, I couldn't sacrifice my life for the humans that had made me feel miserable from the day I was born.
As I looked at him, I couldn't help but admire him, he wasn't a monster but he was handsome, with his black hair that fell on his shoulder along with his black suit that hugged his muscular framed and and his perfectly carved face that i couldn't take my eyes off.
But then, the vows began. Words echoed in the vast hall, promising eternity, loyalty, and obedience.
"Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
The words hung in the air, a solemn oath binding me to a man I barely knew, a man whose very presence filled me with dread and was know for being a monster.
"I... I do," I managed to whisper, my voice barely audible above the murmurs of the crowd.
His response was swift, his voice cold and detached. "I do," he echoed, his eyes never leaving mine.
When it came time for the rings, his touch sent a shiver down my spine. His hand was like ice against mine, and worse I felt a sparks flow through my hands as I touched him.
I gasped as he slid the ring into my finger and I looked at him, as his eyes tured black but in a brief moment his eyes retuned back to normal as he looked at me.
It was as if I had imagined it, but his face never showed an emotion.
"You may mark you bribe", the priest proclaimed and I looked at him confused , what the fuck did he mean by mark.
And before I knew what was happening, he grabbed me, and bite my neck, the last think o remember was I let out a screamed as I close my eyes, losing consciousness.
