"Why have you been walking alone like a loner for the last three days? Where's your buddy Sion? You're even eating lunch with us." Ningning asks. Honestly though, it's so bizarre that Wonbin was currently having lunch with them. He had other friends, why is he not sitting with them.
"My friends don't like waiting for me because I eat really slow, and Sion's the only one who waits for me until I finish eating. He isn't here today so that's why I'm eating lunch here." Wonbin replies as he chews on his food slowly.

"And Sion has gotten really sick to the point that he can't even go to school. He even missed out on all our band practice because he couldn't go out of the house. He said it hurts to even move." He then says.
"Maybe he got a really bad fever. The last time I met him was last week Friday. He was walking outside still in his school uniform and he wasn't even wearing a coat." Gaeul tells them.
"Hmm maybe, who knows. He wouldn't tell me what sickness he got." He said.

"Did you try visiting him?" Yejun asks her boyfriend.
"Me, Eunae, and Harumi tried visiting him but he told his mom that he didn't want any visitors. Even his mom wouldn't tell us what was wrong with him. Like I feel so hurt man. I'm his best friend, why wouldn't he tell me?! Even his mother didn't even want to tell me. I thought I was like a second son to her. Like I'm worried about him but he's being so secretive with me." Wonbin explodes as he rants to them. Never in his life would he ever imagine that he would be ranting about his feelings to a group of girls. He doesn't even talk about his feelings to his other friends.

"Dang, never thought that I'd see the day where you're telling us about how you feel." Ningning chimes as she took a bite of her food.
Wonbin wasn't even in the mood to fight with her right now because of how hurt he was.
"Maybe he has a reason why he doesn't want to tell you or want you to see him. Sion probably doesn't want you to worry about him too much." Yejun reasons as Wonbin only frowns.

"I know!" Ningning exclaims as everyone looks over at her.
"Why don't we make Gaeul go and visit him? If he doesn't want any of his friends to see him, he'd probably let her visit him." Ningning thought of an idea.
"And why would he let her but not me? No offence Gaeul." Wonbin questions.
"No offence taken." The said girl answers.

"Because she's his wife duh. He could kick his friends out of his house, but would he even dare to do the same to Gaeul and tell her to go away?" Ningning reasons.
Everyone on the table thought about it for a second.
"You know... maybe that would work. Ok I like the idea. I'll drop you off over at Sion's place later than after school." Wonbin says as he agrees with Ningning's plan.
"Geez not even a 'wow ningning you're so smart for coming up with that idea?'" Ningning says as she rolls her eyes.
"Ew why would I ever compliment you." He retorted.
"Ok let's not fight here. Can everyone please just enjoy their food without fighting for once, please." Yejun stops them as she pleads for them to get along for once.

So here Gaeul was at right now, in front of Sion's house after Wonbin had just dropped her off. He wishes her good luck and told her to just text him if Sion had kicked her out before she even had the chance to ask him about his condition.

She would be lying if she said that she wasn't worried. Her boyfriend was in a critical state that he couldn't even come to school??
Though none of their friends knew about the news that they started dating because they decided to keep it a low profile for now.

She walks over to the front door.
Why was she so nervous all of a sudden. You could do it Gaeul, just ring the doorbell!

*ding dong!

The doorbell rang as Gaeul waits for a response. She stood there patiently, waiting, and waiting until she hears noises from inside the house. The light sound of footsteps as it reached the front.

The door opens as Gaeul could see Sion behind the door. The two of them stunned to see each other. Sion was surprised to see her visiting him all of a sudden. Whilst Gaeul was shocked because he wasn't wearing a shirt but his whole body was covered in bandages. This only alarmed her even more. No wonder why he didn't want any of his friends to visit him.

She could probably tell that he had just awoken up from his sleep as his hair was messy and all over the place and he was rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"How did this happen?" She asks him as he just stares at her blankly. Still trying to regain his consciousness.
"I uh fell down a ladder." He made up a lie.

That was hard to believe as she eyes him suspiciously. She held his arms gently and moves him around so she could see his back.
Gaeul being able to see that the bandages on the back of his body was stained red. Meaning that his back was bleeding.

"That's very hard to believe." She tells him as he panics.
"I was over at my friend's place and he has a treehouse right. In order to climb up and get back down we have to climb a wooden ladder. The ladder must've been old that when I was going down it snapped and the ladder fell on my back. The splinters were so sharp that it slit my back open." He tries to make his lie believable. Sion was cold sweating now, hoping that she'd believe him.

He can't just tell her that the cause to his back being so bloody was because he got his cupid wings cut off.

She continues to stare at him seriously before letting out a sigh as she hugs him gently. He was surprised as he stood there in distress.

"I was so worried. You made everyone worried, especially Wonbin. He felt hurt that you kept this all from him. Now I could understand why you wanted to keep this all a secret from everyone." She tells him as he could just smile faintly whilst caressing the top of her head. He couldn't really move much because it still hurts a lot if he did anything.
"If I told Wonbin then he'd freak out. I already scared my younger friend half to death because he was there to witness it." Sion replies. The younger friend being Sakuya 😭

"I know but at least let them visit you. They care allot about you Sion. You just forbidding them to even visit would only worry them even more." She says as he frowns. He rests his chin on the top of her head as he had one hand around her waist.

"Are you able to get better before the school festival though?" She asks him as she releases the hug.
He scratches his head as he thought about it.
"Hopefully I could. I can't miss out or else the band would be incomplete." Sion answers before grinning mischievously.

Gaeul could see him wince in pain as he held onto the doorframe.
"Are you ok?" She asks in concern.
"Yeah, it's just that if I stand for long, my body starts to hurt." He said as he tried to hold in the pain.
"Ok then what are you doing still standing there for? I'll help you get to your room. It's my turn to take care of you when you're sick." She says and enters the house as she helps him out.

Seeing her care so much for him made him jubilant. He did not regret his decision yesterday of ending his status as a cupid.
