29 | Eyes on you

Its been totally 1 year and 2 months since me and Sandhya are married. We have now come to SriLanka on a vacation to celebrate our anniversary. We did not get time earlier due to our hectic work schedule and house construction.

The past few months, our bond grew thicker and stronger. I can't deny the fact that we had small fights then and there, but we tried to sort it out the same day and not to have it carried away.

We both had an unspoken understanding to not bring in any others in to our personal matter nor share anything personal with anyone.

I have seen drastic change in Sandhya. She being an angry bird, have now completely has her anger under control with meditation and yoga. And I too have strictly forbid myself from hiding anything with Sandhya. After the fight I have not touched or preferred eating non-veg.

We were back to normal as usual except for the intimacy part. Earlier Sandhya would demand a kiss from me, but she does not do that now. She started maintaining distance from me.

I know it was all because of me. I have been too hard on her after the fight. But that is how I am. It takes time for me to act normal. I don't want to say anything about this or my feelings to Sandhya and start the fight or misunderstandings again. 

The past few months, Sandhya has changed a lot. She denied travelling to any place in our new car. Only after making me agree to pay the loan amount by herself, she travelled in it. 

Even for this trip, she agreed on a condition that she would take care of the expenses as I am paying the housing loan and taking care of other expenditures. 

We have clearly settled the financial matters on what to spend ,how  , when , what and who would invest  everything. Though she appears normal she was feeling low which she tries to conceal it.

I have seen the longing in Sandhya's eyes when she heard news about Anjana and Neeraja being pregnant. Have even seen her cry silently , when my mom sometimes talk about her not getting pregnant.

Sandhya never shared any of those things with me nor complained to me when any of them enquired her the same. She was bottling up her feelings to herself.

I strictly informed my parents and her parents to not pressure her much and we would plan for it when we feel to start.

Days went and our house construction was also going smooth, which would be completed in few months.

Currently, we are in Sri Lanka in a resort. 

I wanted to revive our days and be the same happy couple again. I don't want her to suffer more. I made moves and gave slight hints to her long time back, but she did not get the clue.

I too left it as it is and decided to start with our physical journey as a surprise gift from our 1st anniversary.

I was waiting for this day and finally it has arrived. We were supposed to go for an outing and dinner today. Suddenly the clouds formed heavily and it started to pour.

I saw her walking to and from looking at the window and to the bed impatiently. Sandhya was clearly disappointed because of the rain.

Clad in a white saree with simple accessories and free hairstyle, she was looking ethereal. When she returned from the window with a frown on her face, I grabbed her hand and made her sit on my lap.

She gasped at my action. But it was swallowed inside my mouth as I latched my lips on hers taking her for a surprise.

"enna .. enna pandra?" ( what are you doing?) she stuttered breaking our kiss.
