30 | Epilogue

Few years later

Sandhya and me still maintain our friendship. We tease each other a lot. Still Sandhya maintains her limit to the teasing, considering me as the husband of her sister in law.

She calls me as mapilai or with respect when others are around. Even when we both talk alone, she would not address me as 'Krishnan'.

There is no need of her to behave so formally with me, still I respect her decision. Without her saying, I know it is an instruction from Deva for her to behave respectfully with me.

He calls Vignesh too as  'maapilai' and not 'Vicky' in front of others. When we are all alone, he would not call as 'mapilai' , yet he would address us with respect as 'ji'.

He has taken Anjana's words earlier very seriously. I assumed Deva to be a normal reserved guy with cool demeanor. But he is very sensitive to feelings. And a very hardworking person as well.

The fight that happened between Sandhya and Deva, was really a big fight. I could say it as an eye opener for both. Though they both fought and got their issues sorted out soon, I felt they were not back to their usual mode as they were earlier.

With the way Sandhya and Deva behaved at the start of marriage, I expected her to share a good news soon. But it turned out the other way.

When she heard Anjana and Neeraja 's pregnancy, I saw how hurt she was and looked at Deva. I don't know what was their issue entirely.

And I did not want to talk anything about it to Sandhya as it was not right. Nor to Deva and make him think that Sandhya shares her problems with me.

Though they were not in good terms partially,  Deva never allowed anyone to scold Sandhya.

I remember once Sandhya's Father telling me about how Deva scolded her parents for asking her about child. He did not spare his mom as well.

He carefully handled every situation when Sandhya and his mom were about to get in to arguments.  I got to know all this through my chatterbox.

I really felt happy for Sandhya's decision of marrying a gem like Deva.

Days passed. Sandhya and Deva got back to the normal mode and I felt happy for them. One day Sandhya shared the good news that she was pregnant.

I have a son named ' Keshavan' who is a big loud chatterbox just like Anjana. But he is Deva's favorite than anyone.

Months after he was born, Vicky's wife Neeraja gave birth to a boy named 'Viren'. He is another loud speaker just like his Father but a very jovial one.

Few months later, Sandhya gave birth to twin girls. They named them as 'Neelambari' and 'Kadambari'.

Deva is really a hard worker who has reached a very big position in the work front. We could even call him as the one belonging to upper middle class family or an elite one.

Deva runs his own Automobile business which he started few years back. He is the chairman of his company and has now built 3 individual houses and has 2 showrooms  and service centre in  Chennai. He is really a hard worker, I must admit. Not only in terms of work, in terms of family.

Did not understand? He has 5 kids. First being twins. In the second pregnancy, Sandhya gave birth to triplets 'Manohar', Sahadevan and Madhangi.

Sahadevan is male version of Sandhya and Madhangi replica of Sandhya. May be for that reason, Deva always has a special care and love towards Madhangi. We call 'Manohar' as 'Mini Deva'.  Anjana and her parents always go 'aww' looking at him. Now that he has grown up to a teenage boy, he looked exactly the young Deva. 

Deva and Sandhya are still the horny couples who would stay at very decent distance in front of others , but their eyes speak a lot. 

In fact Deva opted to do family planning for himself than Sandhya.

After the ECR outing , I have not seen them share any flirty talks or showcase any PDA in public. Their love language is through eyes. And for the record, Deva still wears that 'Daddy' bracelet.

I too am a hard worker. I have a girl child named 'Aaradhana' who is very good and obedient just like me. Vicky too is equally hardworking like me who has a daughter named 'Vipraja'. He came from UK long time back and settled here in India.

Anjana the chatterbox has cut short her over talkativeness. A very drastic change after all these years. She has reduced her talkativeness from 100% to 99%. She now has less time to watch serials as she is busy with household work, office and kids.

For Anjana's seemandham(baby shower) Deva presented her a gold chain with infinity pendant having a love symbol. The same design she saw in the mall.

Anjana  has now started acting maturely. I explained her later in a polished manner of her words which affected Deva and Sandhya, and the reason for presenting the same design chain.

Having realized it, she asked sorry to them. Though they said they did not take in to heart, I know it was all a lie.

Life is going smooth for us. Deva's house is within the city limits not like the very far one which they lived initially.

All the three of our families, would go for a family outing every 3 months. Myself, Deva and Vikram share a thick friendship. 

We three would have a men's day out in bike once a month. Sometimes, we alone would go for a trip to nearby places. Likewise, the ladies too plan their day out. 

Our children  Viren, Keshavan, Neelambari and Kadambari go to the same college. They all belong to same class as they have only few months of age difference.

Keshavan and Kadambari are the tom and jerry. My son being a very mischievous guy always irritates her. Kadambari has characteristics of 'Sandhya'.

She speaks openly and lashes out whenever she gets angry. Once she  even broke my son's head. But Keshav deserves it for his mouth.

On the other hand, Neelambari is silent , not so silent, but reserved like Deva. She talks only what is necessary and when she is asked anything. Else she won't open her mouth.

Viren and Neelambari are thick best friends. She is silent to others but not to Viren. Partners in crime they are. Culprit of all the mischievousness and fights that happen. They remind me of myself and Sandhya. They all have stepped in to  college this year.

While our other kids are still in school. Oh Vikram - Vicky's brother too got married and has two daughters  named ' Vihaana' and  'Veda'.

Everything is going good in our lives. But I feel little sad when I think that my children would reach the marriage age sooner, making me realize I have become old.

Krishnan uncle.. sss. hearing this word makes me feel sad. Time flies fast. Still its good. Have learnt many things. Formed a new life, new friends and relations and a beautiful family of my own.

Hope our kids too would find a good life partner like us and lead a happy life.
