slightly long chapter ahead just to let you know :)
(warning g!p - Narrator POV)
Working as a bartender wasn't always easy, late night shifts, emotional or very weird customers were always frequent during her shifts.
It wasn't anything out of the norm, plus, she liked doing her job, there was something nice about chilling behind a counter and just simply making drinks for people.
The only times she would really hate her job would be on Friday nights, which is quite self-explanatory in itself.
Sometimes she would be asked for her number on busy nights, but she always said 'no' and made an excuse that she had a boyfriend.
She didn't actually have a boyfriend though, it was just the easiest way to shut someone up.
Plus, it's not like she's obligated to give out her number, in fact, she's not really supposed to be giving out her number during her shifts.
It's part of keeping the work ethic or something like that, she didn't really understand it, but it's not like she was going to actually give it out to anyone anyways.
Hanni was wiping the counter to get ready for the Saturday night rush once again.
She worked at a jazz bar, so she really enjoyed the music that played in the background - it always helped her got into the flow of making the drinks.
She hung the wet cloth on a rail below the counter before she went to restock the ice bucket.
That was when she heard a tap on the counter, catching her attention.
Hanni thought it was her manager, because he would always do the same thing when he needed her for something, but when she stood up she was met with the eyes of a woman who had piercing green eyes.
Immediately, Hanni almost lost her voice.
A smile is what she greeted the woman with before clearing her throat, she didn't even hear the door open when she came in.
"Hi, how can I help you?" Hanni asked as she slid the lid of the ice bucket closed before looking at the woman.
"Can I get one Boulevadier." The woman spoke smoothly, her voice as smooth as silk.
Hanni smiled at her choice, nobody really orders those classic drinks.
"I'd love to make you one." Hanni nodded as she pulled out a chilled glass from the fridge below the counter.
Hanni heard a laugh from the woman when she placed the glass on the counter.
"I take it people don't order it as often?" The woman started a conversation.
Hanni nodded as she poured whiskey into the shaker, placing two or three ice cubes inside before pouring the rest of the ingredients in one by one.
"Bingo." Hanni replied as she began to shake the steel bottle filled with liquid in her hands, "not many people like the whiskey, even though there's bourbon to balance it out."
The woman let out a deep hum, Hanni stole quick glances at her every once in a while.
She didn't look too feminine, but not too masculine either, maybe just the perfect balance between the two.
Her build was quite big for a woman, she probably worked out a lot, her shoulders were a little wide, but Hanni loved it.
She was rather tall, a white buttoned shirt with a black blazer over it and some black trousers that matched her blazer- perhaps corporate?
