KAI SLOWLY PUSHED THE FRONT DOOR OPEN and took the gentlest steps of his life into the house. Peering around the home he heard sounds coming from the TV indicating that his mother was indeed still up. With a nervous gulp Kai shut the door close and tensed his shoulders upwards as he paced toward his room with quick steps. His heart hammered against his chest as he held the makeshift trap device, that did not impress Yeji at all earlier, with a shaky grip. Just as he was nearing the hallway corridor toward his room he heard a sudden loud call out. "Hyuka!" His mother shouted as she pushed herself off the couch as her son halted in his steps. Kai let out a tiny groan frustrated that he was so close from getting away.

Mrs. Gray cheerily stepped toward her son, cat ears adorned her short blonde curly hair. "Hyuka, how was it?" She enthusiastically asked.

Kai faced his mother with wide eyes. "H-How was what?" He stammered, mentally praying that he wasn't just caught.

Mrs. Gray furrowed her brows. "How was what?" She repeated mimicking his voice, as Mews rubbed herself against her legs. "The greatest night of the year, of course." She teased.

"Oh." Kai's brows shot up in realization. "Oh, yeah, it was... it was, uh tubular." He quickly lied with a slight bouncing of his figure, hiding the fact that one of his best friends had a mental break down, another was furious at the invite of a non party member, and the strange thing he was currently smuggling into the house. Yup, Halloween was completely tubular, in Kai's eyes.

Mrs. Gray eyed her son with skepticism. "What's wrong with you?"

Kai forced a smile. "Nothing." He quickly corrected.

Mrs. Gray tilted her head with narrowed eyes. "Did something happen?"

Kai instantly shook his head. "No. What? No."

Mrs. Gray gave her son a even more worried expression. "Are you constipated again?" She asked.

Kai's expression dwindled in disbelief. "No. Mom!" He exclaimed in disgust.

"Okay, you're acting weird." Mrs. Gray sternly voiced out.

"I am not acting weird!" Kai retorted, but just as he fired out those words the trap device in his right hand began to jitter with utter force startling his mother. "Whoa!" Kai exclaimed with a giggle.

"Ah!" Mrs. Gray yelped in surprise as she flinched back.

Kai forced out a set of laughs as he glanced down at his shaking hand. Mews let out a loud hiss as she stared at device in Kai's palm. Kai looked over at his mother who backed away in slight fear. "Awesome, right? Yeah..." he trailed off glancing back at the jittering trap that refused to stop moving. "I-I rigged the trap with, uh, a motor to make it look like I caught a ghost. Just like the movie." He explained to his concerned mother.
