"WOOOOOO!!!" Autumn cheered as Jewel put a bag of popcorn into the microwave. "MARATHON NIIIIGHT!!!!"

"So, what exactly are we watching again?" Monica asked from the couch in the apartment.

"Splatoon Stories," replied Derek. "It's a popular TV series that takes place in Inkopolis."

"They're replaying the whole series and ending the marathon with the final episode tonight," added Jewel from the kitchen. "It's brand new, no one in Inkopolis has seen the finale yet."

"AAAAAAGH, I cannot WAIT to see what happens next," Autumn said, pacing around in the kitchen in anticipation. "First there were the Salmonlings, then there were those two Octolings named Shella and Marcy, and then there was that MakoMart episode, AND THEN-"

    "WHOA, SPOILERS!!!" Monica called out.

"Sorry, sorry. I just LOVE this show!"

    "I can tell," laughed Monica.

"I think my favorite episode was-" A knock at the door interrupted Jewel. "Who could that be?" Derek got up from the couch and opened the apartment door.

    "Wha-"

"Hey kids," greeted Sheldon, letting himself in with a few bags of snacks.

"What are you doing here?" Jewel asked.

"I'm here to watch the Splatoon Stories marathon," Sheldon replied.

"In our apartment?" Derek asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes." Sheldon grabbed a chair from the kitchen table and dragged it over beside the couch.

"Why couldn't you have watched it at your shop?" asked Autumn.

"Because I'm the one paying for your apartment. I think I have a right to come and watch a show." Nobody argued with him, he had a valid point. The popcorn finished popping, and Jewel pulled out the hot bag carefully, dumping its contents into a large bowl.

"Here, Autumn," she began, "take this to Derek and Monica while I make ourselves another bag." Autumn took the popcorn bowl from Jewel and handed it to Derek and Monica. Monica cautiously took a piece of popcorn and ate it.

"Mmm!" she said approvingly. "This is good!"

    "I know, right?" Derek said.

"Think this is in my top 10 Inkling foods now," Monica continued. "It's up there with salmon burgers and pizza, but not above them and cheesecake. I think it might outrank strawberries and chocolate-covered expresso beans, and might've pushed nachos with salsa out of the top 10." The Octoling suddenly made a horrified face and sank back limply into the couch as if she was melting. "I've been here not even a week and I'm already becoming soft."

"And you'll only become even softer the longer you stay here," Derek said with a teasing grin.

"Nooooo..." Monica said with a weak laugh.

"And now for the all night marathon of Splatoon Stories, beginning right now!" announced the TV announcer.

"AAAAAAAA HURRY JEWEL!!" Autumn yelled, jumping over the back of the couch and landing next to Monica. Jewel pulled the popped bag of popcorn out of the microwave and dumped it into a big bowl.

"I'm coming!" she shouted, running over to the couch with her and Autumn's shared bowl. Jewel sat down right as the intro to the first episode started playing. "Made it, just in time!"

"Behold greatness, Monica," Sheldon told the Octoling, gesturing to the TV before shoving a handful of chips into his mouth.

"Just going by the opening theme," began Monica, "I can already see why you like this show." She grabbed a handful of popcorn. "I bet Alecs and Kimberly would enjoy this. I wonder how they're doing without me..."
