Miranda
Our bliss was cut short, the best hour of my life. I ran my hands through my hair and put my hand on my waist watching the love birds.

"Hi?" He asked, gently tugging her closer; I couldn't help but smile.

"Hey," She looked over her shoulder to kiss him.

"Get a room you two!" I was no saint, just as much as I was no sinner. I don't deserve this.

"Let the singles breathe!" I yelled dramatically over the music. They both chuckled.

"You won't be single for long," The raven-haired boy said with a boyish smirk.

A look crossed Chase's features, I overlooked it. Immediately disregarding his friendly smile. I never had a good impression of him.

He smirked; it was a dare. I was on another level of high, so I placed my hand in his.

He pulled me towards the couch, in the corner.
"Hi" All I wanted to do was dance, but I responded.
"Hi"

I could feel Beatrice worry; she didn't trust Jake, and neither did I.

"Tasted anything yet, you're a little sober."

"I'd like to remain that way," this was awkward.

"I know, you don't wanna talk to me. All you want to do is dance, but I just wanna be friends," he shrugged sincerely.

"In a party, full of wayward teenagers?" I asked pulling closer to him.

He smiled, "You didn't give me much of a choice, did you?" He said trailing a finger down my arm. It tickled and I sensed a glare burn through me.

"So," he sighed dropping his hand. I watched him cautiously.

"What's your favorite color?"

I felt like a whole different person tonight. Frightening bold, I whispered a response.

"The color of my dress" He smirked cutely, raking his gaze down my body.

He cleared his throat, "If you had to pick what singer to make out with, who would that be?"

I smiled, an answer coming to me.
"James Arthur"

"Come on, that guy?"

"That guy is my choice." Curiosity filled his gaze and I relaxed under it.

"Why him?"

"Cause he's a lover in spirit." What's happening to me? I'm saying too much; what if he thinks I'm a creep?

He sucked on his lip and ruffled my hair. I glared.

"I thought for a second that you weren't a romantic?"

"I'm not," He looked completely confused.

"You don't have to be a romantic to admire one, They'd fight the rest of their days for what they believe in. I on the other hand?"

This is not a conversation to have at a party. I was grateful he didn't question further.

"Huh," He said and just stared. I wanted to know what he thinking.

Soon he got up, "Mind dancing with me?"

I smiled, "Sure."

I watched them on the couch, with a sharp pain in my chest that could never be explained.

She gave him all her attention and let him touch her. I bit down on my lower lip forcefully. Slightly shocked it didn't bleed.
