Brec's POV
🔆Homecoming Week🔆
It was Monday morning and the cheerleaders had an different outfit for each day this week. The homecoming football game and the dance was on Saturday. An we have competition on Wednesday.
This week and next i have to be on beast mood in concentration. I thought about Ryan all this weekend, I realized I actually really like him but with Homecoming an Competition I can't have him on my mind distracting me.
I woke up at five something this morning, i had a dream that i was married to Ryan and we had kids and a house on the beach. It kinda scared me and i woke up screaming and accidentally fell outta my bed.
I stayed up watching old movies in till my alarm rang at 6:00. I took a shower and combed out my hair An put loose curls, put on the jersey my coach gave us, and a pair of blue skinny jeans and red vans.
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and momma was cooking pancakes and bacon. "Buenos dias mama" i said kissing her on her cheek.
"Buenos dias Lourdes" she replied handing me a stack of glass plates and forks. "Puede usted por favor poner la mesa antes de que todo el mundo tiene aquí abajo" she asked.
I nodded my head and started to set the table like she had asked. "Where's Bray?" I asked as i sat the plate of pancakes in the center of the table.
"She's in the tub, she'll be down when she drys off" she said handing me the plate of bacon. I nodded.
"Mama" i said using my accent. "Yes Brec" she said taking off her apron and fixing her work shirt.
"If i wanted to ... Could i have a boyfriend?" I asked hesitantly. She paused and covered her mouth, she looked like she was about to cry. Just that fast.
"Oh mija, Of course" she said as she hugged my head tightly. "Is that whose's number your wearing?" She said smirking at me.
"No Ma it's just a random jersey, but you don't think it will get in the way of my priorities?" I asked confused at her reaction.
"No mija, listen ... You've worked so hard your whole life, you've always had the best grades, you play every sport known demand, and you've never quit anything. You took your papa's death wonderful. Besides Danny you never really liked boys, you just liked to fight them" she laughed at the memory of me kicking Kendall Glovers Butt.
"I didnt like Danny, he was like a brother" i said back. "I know but remember when you first met him, you were crazy about him, but then you joined hockey and all the boys started turning into brothers. I thought you'd end up marrying Danny. But i knew this new school and new surroundings would help you expand you mindset, that boys aren't just brothers, they can be more than that" she looked at me in my eyes.
We smiled at each other. "Now who is the boy" she asked sitting at the table. Then Bray ran into the kitchen wearing only a towel. "Hey guys !" She said excitedly.
"Hey Bray so your going to school like that?" I asked jokingly. she laughed "No i have a field trip today at the Dance Museum" she said sitting beside me.
"Cool, where's Ja'mikel?" I asked her. "He left last night to his friend Mike's house." She said stuffing her face with a pancake.
"Josh is coming though" she said between bites. "Josh is coming where" he said walking into the kitchen and sitting in front of me.
"Okay good your all here now Jeremiah is not filling good , so he's staying home. Michelle's mom is bringing Bray home, Joshua can you make sure Brec gets in her truck safely and Brec make sure Joshua gets in his truck safely." She said all of this while getting her briefcase and fixing her shoes.
