Chapter Thirty Four: Violet Meets Tiresome Triangle, Feelings, And A Legacy

Cory started his lesson on Legacy, "Legacy" he started to say as he had happened to notice Farkle was missing, "Why is Farkle a goose?" he questioned as there was a goose in place of Farkle. "That's the Einstein Academy goose" Riley explained as if it was just normal to have a goose and Cory nodded along, "Oh, of course. The Einstein Academy goose. Why is it on Farkle's desk?" he questioned not sure what to make of the situation. "Einstein captured Farkle" Maya told him as if nothing was the matter with what she just said and Lucas shrugged it off as well, "It was their end of the year prank" he added. "So, since they took our mascot-" Maya started to say, "We took theirs and now, we're even" Riley finished with a cunning smile and Cory didn't see the logic in it, "Farkle's not a mascot." "What would you call him?" Maya asked him with a confused look on her face and he immediately switched the subject, "Where's Zay? They got Zay, too? And what about Violet?" he asked Lucas as neither Violet nor Zay were in their seats.

Lucas didn't even notice that Violet wasn't there either as he looked to Cory, "I'm not completely sure sir" he told him and as he said that Zay came into classroom laughing with Violet on his back. "Sorry we're late. I absolutely don't have an excuse to why" she said as she jumped down from Zay's back with a grin and fixed her skirt. "Yeah uh me and pretty girl here had to handle some business" Zay explained with an awkward smile as they both went to their seats and Lucas immediately turned around to look at Violet, "What were you doing with him?" he asked her and she shrugged with a smirk, "It doesn't matter. What matter is, why is Farkle a goose?" she asked pointing to the goose. Cory seeing that a conversation was about to uproar, "All right, guys. Listen up. It's your last week of school. This is my last chance to teach you something" he said to the class to get their attention and Maya made an intriguing face, "Do you have more to teach us?" she asked with interest. "I have so much more I wanna teach you. So much more. I mean, you guys are gonna be leaving this place. What will you be leaving behind? What is your legacy? I wanna talk about not just what you've gotten from this place, but what you've given" he said to the class as he genuinely wanted to give his class everything before they separate from one another as Maya looked to the group with a smirk, "He's right. We still haven't thought of our class prank! I was thinking we could let all of the air out of school. Everybody would just be like choking. That'd be hi-larious" she said as she made a choking sound to prove her point. Hearing her, Farkle entered the room upset, "I'll tell you what's hi-larious" he started to say as he noticed the goose on his desk, "Nobody saved me! Why did nobody save me?" he asked erratically. "Farkle, we looked for you for a whole five minutes, and then we took the goose" Riley said with a shrug as she didn't see the problem in not really looking for him as Maya added, "He's the new you" and pointed to the goose. Lucas decided to join in on the fun, "Donnie Barnes, regular goose" he said and Cory nodded his head, "I'd see that movie" he said with a smile pointing. Violet laughed at the scene before she turned towards Zay, "My place after school?" she suggested and he nodded, "Wouldn't miss it for the world, pretty girl" he told her causing her to smile before turning back and blinked as Lucas was staring at her. Before he could say anything, Farkle walked over to his own desk, "Oh, please. Farkle cannot be replaced by a goose. Farkle is unique and one of a kind" he said as he looked at the goose, "Hah!" he challenged and the goose honked back causing him to flinch. "You don't know me" he responded offended as the bell rings, signaling the end of class.
