CHAPTER 1

3rd. Point of View

"Mirai Makoto."

"Yes!" A girl got out of her seat and followed her sensei to the testing room.

"We need 2 clones and you pass!" Iruka-sensei explained to the girl.

I got this... Mirai took a deep breath and brought her hands together.

Poof

"Great job Mirai, you pass! Here's your headband. Meet back at the academy tomorrow for team pairings!"

The girl gleamed, taking the headband that was handed to her. She ran out the door, where other graduates were met with family to celebrate the great news. She put her headband over her forehead and walked past some students.

She eyed the boy in the bright orange jumpsuit who sat on a swing alone.

Oh no... Naruto didn't pass... She rerouted, her destination now to Naruto.

"Hey Naruto!" She gave him a small wave.

The boy looked up, and saw Mirai wave, giving him a small, sympathetic smile. "Oh hey, Mirai-chan! You graduated!"

"Yeah! I'm sorry you didn't make it this year.." She looked at Naruto, closed her eyes and grinned. "You'll get it down soon, Naruto, don't worry!"

"Yeah! I'll show them next year! I'm gonna be Hokage one day, believe it!" Naruto exclaimed.

Mirai smiled softly, walking away, "I'll see you soon Naruto!"

Mirai walked to her house, taking off her sandals before continuing into the house. She made her way to the kitchen, grabbing a small snack from the fridge. While eating, the front door opened.

"I'm home!" A man's voice could be heard, echoing through the building.

"Toki!" Mirai hopped off the chair and ran to the man, leaving the left of her snack unattended.

The man who went by Toki opened up his arms, embracing Mirai.

"How was your mission?" She asked.

"It went well. We got the target and he's in for questioning with Ibiki. I'll have to meet with them tomorrow for a follow up interrogation." Toki replied. He glanced at her head, "I see someone graduated from the academy!" He ruffled her hair, causing her to push his hand off, laughing lightly.

"How about I take you out to eat? Maybe Ichiraku's Ramen?" He asked.

She smiled, "Really?!"

For as long as the pair could think, Ichiraku's Ramen has been their go to meal when Toki finished a dangerous mission or if Mirai had an accomplishment. This case being Toki finishing his week long mission and Mirai graduating from the Academy.

"What did they test you on?" Toki asked. He took a bite of his noodles after. 

"Pretty easy stuff, clone jutsu." Mirai answered, her mouth half full with noodles. 

"What kind of rougue-ninja did you catch this time?" Mirai asked, finishing the food in her mouth. She looked towards her brother, curious about his story. 

"He stole some minor files of some of the shinobis in our village, so I had to go a retrieve what was stolen. Nothing too big." He smiled. 

Mirai hummed. Looking back at her bowl

"I'm glad you're home, Toki."

The next day

Mirai walked to the academy, excited to know who her team and new sensei will be.

Entering the building, she heard Sakura and Ino having their daily fangirl routine. She continued walking, making her way to her assigned seat next to Shikamaru.

"Good morning, Shika." She turned, smiling at Shikamaru, who seemed to be trying to sleep.

"Morning.."

"How are you doing? You seem to be as tired as ever." Mirai stated. 

"I just want to get this over with." 

Screams were suddenly heard, making Mirai whip her head to the direction of Sasuke and Naruto kissing.

What the heck?!

Gagging and spitting followed quickly after, only for Sasuke's fangirls to start hitting Naruto.

Yikes... Sorry Naruto but you're on your own with them....

"Alright, I'll be announcing the Squads!" Iruka-Sensei exclaimed.

"Hey, Shika, you think we'll be on a team together?" Mirai nudged the dozing Shikamaru, whispering to him.

"I don't know, but this is starting to be a drag. I want to go home." Shikamaru mumbled.

"Squad 7! Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and by request of some higher ups, Mirai Makoto."

Request? Who requested me to be with them? And with who specifically.. Was it our Squad 7 Sensei or maybe even the Hokage.. I'll have to ask about this later.

"Naruto! Just sit down!" Sakura shouted.

"I don't want to! How come our teacher's the only one that's late?" Naruto complained.

"Maybe they got called by the Hokage for something important?" Mirai said.

Naruto got on a chair and put a chalk eraser in between the door and the door frame.

"Naruto!" Sakura scolded.

"That's what he gets for coming late!" Naruto stated, putting his hands on his hips.

"Our teacher's a Jonin. You think he'd fall for that?" Sasuke spoke, giving Naruto a soft glare.

"They could." Mirai butted in.

A hand grabbed the door, sliding it open.

Poof

"Hahahaha! I got him! He totally fell for it!" Naruto laughed, pointing at the teacher.

"I'm sorry Sensei! I told him not to do it but he wouldn't listen.."

Their Sensei stood straight and walked further into the classroom, ignoring the chalk residue on his hair.  "Hmm.. How can I put this.... My first impression of this group: You're a bunch of idiots."

Everyone sulked.

I-idiots?!
