1st Point of View - Mirai

I wake up pretty early and start getting ready. I am not so tired since Toki trained me early in the morning before he had to leave for his Anbu duties, and before the academy started.

I put on my usual: black loose t-shirt, long-sleeved fishnet undershirt, and dark green cargo shorts. I grab my weapon pouches and place them on their designated spots: the left side of my hip and the bottom of my right thigh. I leave my room and go to the bathroom, freshening up.

After I am done, I make my way to the kitchen, taking out some leftover rice and making miso soup. Kakashi-Sensei can't fool me. After preparing my meal and finishing it quickly, I walk to the front of the house and put on my knee-high ninja sandals. I step out, making my way to the team's training grounds.

It's still dark out. I wonder if the others are up, yet. Almost at my destination, I see the other three walking.

"Morning.." Sakura yawns.

"Yeah.. morning..." Naruto also yawns.

"Good morning, did you guys sleep well?" I ask.

"Hn." Sasuke says. If that's even a word.

"I wish he made the meet up a little later." Sakura mentions.

"Yeah, but this is just the first step of training to be a ninja." I assure.

~~~
Okay. This doesn't seem to be the first step of training anymore.
It's already 7 and he's still not here. I look at my teammates. Naruto is sleeping while sitting. Sakura seems to be spacing out and Sasuke is... well.. He's being Sasuke.
I walk a small distance away from the team. I'll just meditate until he shows up, it can't be that much longer.
~~~

"You're late!" I hear Sakura and Naruto yell.

I open my eyes, blinking rapidly, allowing my eyes to adjust to the bright light. I bring my hand up to my face, acting as a cover from the sun, and look up. It's already 11... What was this guy doing for 6 hours?

"Sorry, a black cat crossed my path and I had to take the long way." Kakashi-Sensei says.

What kind of excuse is that!? I get up from my spot and brush the grass off my shorts. I start making my way to my team.

"Where were you, Mirai?" Kakashi-Sensei asks me.

I point to the indention I made while meditating. "Over there."

He glances over, then starts walking. "Let's get started."

We stop at a tree stump, where Kakashi-Sensei places a clock down. "It's set for noon." Suddenly, we hear bells jingling.

Kakashi-Sensei holds up two bells, "Your assignment is very simple. You just have to take these bells from me. That's all there is to it.

He shakes them again, "If you can't get them by noon, you go without lunch."

"WHAA?!" Naruto screams.

"You'll be tied to those posts, and watch while I eat my lunch in front of you."

As if on queue, everyone but my stomach growls. Good thing I ate before this... I'd be screwed!
