Epilogue

Cynder POV

It was midafternoon by the time Cynder and Darksield returned to Warfang. They had decided to build a fire and slept out in the clearing where Darksield had given her his... gifts.

They landed outside the temple and walked inside. Spyro, Crystal, Flame, and Ember were all inside, talking. They all turned as the newcomers walked in.

"About time you two showed up!" Flame called. "Where were you guys?"

Before Cynder could respond, Darksield replied, "We decided to visit the Dragon Blades and check and see how they were doing. We also stayed up all night partying. Turns out, they can play guitars very well."

Ember looked confused. "Dragon Blades?"

"We'll explain later," Cynder said hurriedly.

Then Crystal asked, "Where did you get the necklace?"

Cynder glanced down and realized that she was still wearing it. "Um..." She looked at Darksield for help. He shrugged helplessly.

"Holy ancestors," Spyro said as the pieces fell together. "Are you two a thing now?"

Darksield and Cynder both blushed. Flame and everyone else stared at them.

"Well," Crystal said finally. "That makes six of us."

Darksield POV

Darksield and Cynder exchanged confused looks. "What?"

Crystal rolled her eyes. "Isn't it obvious? You and Cynder, me and Spyro, and Flame and Ember. I thought it was obvious."

Everyone was blushing now, but it was harder to tell with Flame since he had red scales.

"Anyways," Darksield said as he tried to change the subject. "So, what are the rest of you guys doing today?"

Spyro shrugged. "Well, since we don't have the academy until tomorrow, want to go get some food at Qrow's Tavern?"

Flame and Ember bolted to their feet. "Race you!" They raced toward the door, Spyro and Crystal following. Cynder grinned at Darksield before running after the others.

Darksield smirked as he followed them, chasing after Cynder. Months ago, he never could have imagined that he'd be here in another world... but he knew one thing: things were only just beginning.
