New Beginnings

Part 1: The Wedding

Goliath was the lavender leader of the Manhattan Clan of gargoyles. Elisa Maza was his human love. She was a policewoman. Together, they made a great team. The clan respected them.

They had been friends for over a few years now and the clan knew they loved one another. Then, not long after, they decided that they were going to be mates. Hudson was glad to be able to bless their union. They were wanting something simple. Goliath had told Elisa how his clan had once did it.

Brooklyn, Katana, Gnash, Coldstone, Coldfire, Broadway, Angela, Lexington, Matt Bluestone, David, Fox, Alex, Owen, and even Halcyon Renard, and Robbins, Elisa's parents and sister, Beth, the mutates, Talon, Maggie, and Claw, and the clones all were able to make it to the 'wedding.'

After Hudson's blessing, the guests all stood up and cheered for the new couple. Goliath then took Elisa to the highest tower and took her on a mating flight, though it wasn't quite the same as if she was a female gargoyle, or gargess. It was just a short flight to commemorate their union, and they returned to the castle to have a good time with their family and friends for the night.

Elisa wanted a honeymoon with Goliath. Gargoyles didn't usually do those, but Goliath was willing to give anything to his new mate. Elisa had a leave of absence from work for two weeks. Her boss knew she had been getting married.

David Xanatos had a great vacation spot on Hawaii where they were going to go for that time. Brooklyn would be in charge while they were away.

Brooklyn was still Goliath's second in command. He was a lot older now and he had only one eye. He also had a mate, Katana, and a son, Nashville, also called Gnash. They also had an unhatched egg in the rookery where Bronx and Fu-Dog were guarding it. The red male had gained his family through his time dancing adventures with the Phoenix Gate.

The clan had a lovely party of dancing, throwing the bouquet, eating food and cake. It lasted for hours. They would stay at the castle tonight and would have their own room, but there was one thing that Elisa also wanted for Goliath. She wanted him to experience daylight and have a good time while on their honeymoon. Sure, Goliath had experienced daylight once before, but it hadn't been under the best of circumstances, but he had been protecting his friends.

When the party ended, and everyone went home or went off to do their own thing, Goliath and Elisa went to their quarters to spend the rest of their night alone together. They were sitting on their bed together when Elisa brought it up.

"Goliath, I have to ask you something." Elisa said.

"Yes, my love?" Goliath was smiling. He was so happy to be mates with the woman he loved.

"I was wondering if you would want to be human for our honeymoon?" Elisa asked him cautiously.

"Human?" Goliath questioned. He looked down at his mate.

"You know, like when Puck turned you human that one night so long ago. Do you think he could make you human to go on our honeymoon so you could experience daylight and all the joyous sights of Hawaii with me?" Elisa asked of him.

"Well, it does sound intriguing, my love. Or you could experience being a gargoyle again." Goliath suggested.

"I know, but we could enjoy each other's company a lot more if you are turned human just for the honeymoon. Would you be willing to do it for me?" Elisa asked. "And after we come back, I would love to be a gargoyle again."

"I know that Puck has to include Xanatos' son, Alex to be able to turn me human for it." Goliath replied, "But I believe I would like to experience what Hawaii has with you, my beloved." He hugged her. Elisa smiled in turn.

They later went to find Owen and talked to him that Goliath wanted to be changed to a human man for their honeymoon so he wouldn't be just confined to the night. Goliath wanted to see everything with his love, and Owen found it understandable.

"Yes, I would love to give you that gift, but I must also include Alexander. It is he who must turn you human." Owen decreed.

"Yes, I know." Goliath said.

"I just need a little time to train him to do it and then we'll gladly be there to change you." Owen declared. "That will be my wedding gift to you."

"Thank you." Elisa stated happily.

Owen was glad to be able to do this for Goliath and Elisa. They had earned this happy time in their lives. He later went down to the nursery to turn into Puck, and he began spell training Alex to be able to turn Goliath human before they would leave on their honeymoon tomorrow.

Puck soon had Alex trained to turn Goliath to a human, but before they could do the spell, Goliath was stone for the day with his clan. Elisa stayed in their quarters for the day. She was going to move here to the castle to be with Goliath.

Broadway and Hudson would gladly take care of her cat, Cagney while she was gone for a week. Elisa and Goliath were only going to Hawaii for one week, but she would be free from work for another week. And perhaps, she would experience time to be a gargess too, to make it even.

David had a jet waiting at the airport that night to take Goliath and his new love to Hawaii.
