New Beginnings

Part 3

As they neared the airport from the air, they could see how beautiful the island was from the air before landing.

"I can't believe we're going to be spending a week here." Elisa stated joyfully. "It's like paradise."

"At least we'll have each other and spend time together." Goliath smiled at his love.

"Yes. That's all I want. Our lives have been so busy for so long and when we get home again. We need this vacation." Elisa proclaimed.

"Yes, we do." Goliath agreed.

The jet soon landed, and they got off. There was a limo waiting for them to take them to their hotel. They were greeted by some locals. "Aloha!"

"Aloha!" Elisa replied. She looked at her love. He was a little shyer. "A-lo-ha?"

The man smiled and gave them both leis on their necks. "Have a good time seeing our luxurious island and other beautiful places." He said.

"Thank you so much." Elisa thanked him for his hospitality. Then they went and got in the limo to be taken to their hotel.

"What does aloha mean?" Goliath asked.

"It's a way of greeting here, Goliath. It can mean both hello and goodbye." Elisa explained.

"Oh, okay." He said. He didn't want to have poor manners to the locals. But being here was almost like a reminder of Easter Island too, only a lot more trees on it.

When they got to their hotel, Goliath and Elisa checked in at the front lobby and went to their room. The desk clerk wished them a good time here.

Once in their room, they looked around first and then wanted to do nothing else but spend time together as a couple. They instantly felt so much love for each other that they went to work on making love for the first time.

They stayed in the hotel for the first couple days to let jet lag wear off and to just do nothing for a change. It felt like such a relief to not have to do anything. They still hoped their family back home would be alright without them.

After those days, they started exploring the island and visiting places. Even buying gifts for the clan for upon their return that they were thought of too.

There were pools to visit, ice cream stands for snacks, museums to see, sites to see, lots of pictures taken, and even going to the different islands to see their paradises. Hawaii was one wonderful, gorgeous place to visit and even live. But they were only visiting.

For one week back at the castle, Brooklyn was in charge of leading the clan. He was nervous at first in leading them, but he knew he had a job to do here. His mate helped to back him up. Katana did her best to comfort him and for him to lead as he saw fit or try to do it the way he thought Goliath would want him to.

"You're right, my love. What would I do without you?" Brooklyn smiled at her.

"You would feel you would have a harder time making decisions." Katana replied back. "And we have to get ready soon for our hatchling too."

"Yeah. It's hard to believe we're going to be new parents again after so long." Brook stated.

"Yep."

The clan seemed to take and follow Brooklyn's orders well when he gave them, just like when he had done it a couple years ago. But this time, Brooklyn had a mate to support him, and he was a little more experienced at leading. He had been the leader of his family while on their adventures in the timestream.

The clan missed Goliath and Elisa while they were gone but did their best to support one another and dealt with the baddies on the streets and helping the police as much as possible.

A week later, Goliath and Elisa returned to the castle from their honeymoon and were so happy to be home again. The clan all greeted them, giving hugs and cheering.

Puck and Alex appeared before them. It was time for Goliath to be returned to being a gargoyle again.

"So, how was your trip?" Brook asked.

"Oh, it was wonderful, Brooklyn. The sites and everything to do over there was so exhilarating!" Elisa explained happily. The red gargoyle smiled at her reaction.

"It was beautiful, Brooklyn. We had fun together." Goliath added. "How did things go here?"

"Everything was great. I gave my orders on how things were going to be run here until you got back, and everyone obeyed my orders. It was nothing unusual. Same old same." Brook explained.

"That's good. Just glad everyone was safe while I was gone." Goliath replied.

"Ready to be a gargoyle again, Goliath?" Puck asked out of the blue.

"Hello, Puck, Alexander. Yes. As fun as it was to see the sights of the day in Hawaii, I still missed being a gargoyle. I am ready." The lavender male replied.

"Ready, my boy?" Puck asked Alex.

Alex made a spell and turned Goliath back to a gargoyle again. "Thank you, Alex. But now, it's Elisa's turn to have a week as a gargoyle."

"I am ready." Elisa said.

The same was done for Elisa too, only she got turned into the pretty gargess that had gotten Goliath interested in her as more than a human ally.

The clan was in awe of seeing Elisa as a newly fledged gargess. "I looked like this once before. I found it suited me once I learned how to use my wings. I think I can do it again." Elisa told them. "Thank you, Puck and Alex."

"No problem. You'll be human again in a week." Puck stated.

"That's fine. Goliath got to experience what it was like to be human for a week for me. I want to do the same for him for a week." Elisa declared.

"That's great. Have fun." Puck said and vanished with Alex.

"So, what do you want to do first?" Goliath asked his new mate.

"Go for a glide sounds fun." Elisa replied.

"Yes. We shall all go on a glide to welcome being home again." Goliath announced.

The couple went first, and the rest followed. It was a joyous occasion. If Elisa had chosen to stay a gargess, it would suit her well. She made an excellent gargess warrior.

For Katana and Gnash, and Coldfire and Coldstone, this was the first time they had seen a human be turned into a gargoyle.

The clan flew around the city just being out to welcome back their leader and his new mate. But when there were incidents of baddies on the streets, they were foiled. Elisa definitely adjusted well to her body as a gargess. At least this time, they weren't fighting against Demona.

There was a welcome home celebration when they got home. A meal in their honor.

Goliath made a toast to his clan that they could share in his and Elisa's happiness as a newly mated couple. It felt good to have a mate that supported him again. And even though Elisa's state as a gargess was temporary, she would always be one of the clan no matter what. The clan raised their glasses to return the toast. They all enjoyed Owen, Fox, and Broadway's cooking.

Coldstone and Coldfire wished they could share in the meal too but could only watch and still agree to the toast for their brother's happiness. They loved Elisa too, for a human.

Elisa got to experience stone sleep again and waking up with the adrenaline of a gargess for one week, aside from battling as one. She was a natural at handling gliding and fighting baddies. She and Goliath also spent time alone together.

Her cat was there at the castle too. Cagney stayed in a cat room just for him for his own safety.

When they were alone, they also made love as gargoyles too. And if there were any injuries that happened, at least the stone sleep would heal them.
