New Beginnings

Part 2

That night, after the gargoyles awakened, there were roars to greet the night. Elisa was out there waiting for him.

"Good evening, Goliath. Did you sleep well?" Elisa greeted the giant leader.

"Yes, I did, my love. Did you?" He asked with a smile and hugged her to him.

"Yes and no. I got a little sleep but was excited for tonight. There was some anxiety about sleeping." Elisa explained.

"It's understandable." Goliath replied.

The clan all came up to the tower to say their goodbyes.

"I'm going to miss you while you're gone, Father." Angela said, giving him a hug.

"I'll miss you too, but I know you'll be fine, Angela." Goliath said gently.

"I'll take good care of her." Broadway stated. "I know you'll take good care of Elisa."

"Make sure to take lots of pictures to show us when you get home." Lex suggested.

"We will. Thanks, Lex." Elisa smiled at him. "We'll be sure to use that new camera you got us."

"I'll do my best to lead the clan while you're gone." Brooklyn declared.

"And I'll help him with what he needs to do. You two go enjoy yourselves." Katana smiled at them, giving them her blessing.

"I know you'll keep Brooklyn grounded, Katana." Goliath replied.

Goliath and Elisa could still remember back to when Brooklyn was a lonely soul who longed for a female mate of his own and he was often reckless. It had been shocking to see him go time dancing with the Gate and return with a family. But now that Brooklyn was older and had a mate, he was wiser, calmer, and was no longer that reckless youth he had once been. Goliath knew he would lead the clan well while he was gone.

"I will also gladly help out the lad too." Hudson decreed.

"Thank you, Hudson." Goliath smiled. Hudson was like a father to him, not just a mentor.

"Have fun with your new love, Brother." Coldstone patted his shoulder.

"Thank you, Brother." Goliath said.

"We wish you the best time." Coldfire stated.

"Thank you, all of you for your blessings. Other gargoyle clans might not have been so accepting of our union like you all have been." Goliath decreed.

"Elisa has been like a mother figure to us too." Angela declared. "You deserve to be happy, Father."

When Katana had joined the clan, she knew that Elisa had been one of the clan as an ally, but this had been the first time she had ever heard of a human and gargoyle falling in love and were now newly mates. She knew that humans and gargoyles could be close friends, but never like this. Maybe this was a breakthrough for their two kinds, a special union, like what humans had done through time with like uniting two kingdoms through a special marriage union.

Gnash was also supportive of the union and wished them fun in Hawaii. He so wanted to go too but knew he couldn't.

When all the goodbyes were said and done, Goliath and Elisa went down to the nursery to see Puck and Alex. It was up to Brooklyn tonight to assign the important tasks.

"Good evening, Goliath and Elisa. We have been waiting for you to arrive." Puck greeted them.

"Thanks. So, is he ready to turn Goliath human?" Elisa asked.

"Yes. We have the spell ready." Puck replied, holding Alex. "We also have also selected clothes for you in your quarters for him to wear."

"Good." Goliath said.

"You ready for this, Goliath?" Puck asked.

"Yes."

"Alright, here goes." Puck smiled slyly and he had Alex perform the spell that turned the lavender gargoyle leader into a dark-skinned man with dark hair. Goliath had looked like that back when Puck had turned him human back when they first encountered him. And even the night when Elisa got to be a gargess.

Goliath and Elisa were going to go to Honolulu for their honeymoon. Xanatos had a place there where he did business and took Fox there sometimes for a vacation. It was a romantic place in other words why he had advised this couple to go there.

Elisa was now looking at a really handsome man before her. She had thought that back at their turning so long ago to do with the mirror. Now she was going to get to spend more time with Goliath as human man.

Goliath smiled at Elisa then turned to the fae ones. "Thank you, Puck and Alex. I will cherish this gift you have given me this night." He proclaimed. "Come, Elisa. Let us go get ready to depart for our honeymoon."

"Thanks again." Elisa thanked them on the way out of the room.

"Golwiath human now." Alex said.

"Yes, he is. Just for a week, my boy." Puck stated. "I'll let you know when it is time to turn him back."

They first went to their room to go through the clothes that had been selected for Goliath to get into before leaving. He selected a blue-gray shirt with buttons and gray flowers on it. He also picked out some beige shorts. Hawaii was going to be a very gorgeous vacation.

Elisa picked out a flowery dress to wear. She had packed two days ago and was ready to go. She helped pack Goliath's clothes into a suitcase.

They had also come up with a fake name for Goliath too while he traveled. His name would be Glen Swenson. Elisa would be a Swenson too. Women usually took the guy's last name but as a gargoyle, Goliath didn't have a last name. Elisa would still be a Maza when she returned.

They went out to the helicopter pad area at the front of the castle. David was waiting there to take them to the airport. "Ready to go?" he asked.

"Yes, we are."

From above on a battlement, the clan called out and waved goodbye to them. They were waiting till Goliath and Elisa were gone before doing anything else. The departing couple waved back at them, then got into the copter.

They took off in it. For Goliath, being human was still nerve-racking. He wasn't used to not feeling his wings on his back or tail. He was doing this for Elisa. He wanted to really experience what it was like to be human for his love.

New York was a nice place too for a honeymoon, but there was so much crime here. They wanted a less crime place to go to spend their time. This time was supposed to be about their love and not having to deal with crimes. That was the clan's job for the next week.

David soon got them to the airport. They were at the La Guardia airport for the jet to take them to Hawaii. David paid the pilots were taking them in the jet and they were ready to go.

When they got on board, it was quite a luxurious cabin. It was first-class traveling.

"Have fun, you two." David winked at them, giving his blessing for their vacation.

"Thank you." Goliath stated.

They both sat next to each other, and seat belted in as the jet started to move. They were flown to Hawaii.
