New Beginnings

Part 5

Elisa went home and told Goliath it was true. She was pregnant and they were going to be proud parents. Goliath couldn't have been happier. Now they had to tell the clan.

But before that, Elisa went to talk to Fox. She would need the support of another woman if the males didn't understand what she needed.

"What can I do for you, Detective?" Fox asked.

"Well, did you have sickness symptoms upon finding out you were pregnant?" Elisa asked.

"I had some nausea, and my period stopped." Fox replied. "Not too bad though. Oh. You're saying that you're...?"

"Yes. I found out I am." Elisa replied.

"Well, congratulations. Goliath is the father?" Fox asked.

"Yes, from when he was human." Elisa stated.

"Well, congrats to the both of you. I'll be here if you need me." The redheaded woman stated.

"Thank you."

"Does the clan know?"

"Not yet. I just needed to talk to you first." Elisa said. "And I'll tell my mom and dad soon too."

"I'm sure they'll be thrilled." Fox added.

"I hope so. They know I love Goliath. We just thought of adopting kids, but if this is meant to be, I'll gladly carry Goliath's child." Elisa declared happily. Then she had to run to the bathroom again.

Goliath and Elisa spent that night with each other in their room, just thinking things over. They would tell the clan tomorrow. Maybe it would be wise to wait. But then, Brooklyn and Katana could end up telling the others. They knew already from being pregnant twice. But they knew that it was up to Goliath and Elisa to tell the others.

At sunrise, the others could see that Brooklyn and Katana knew something. They had big grins on their faces but weren't saying a thing.

It would remain a mystery until tomorrow night.

The next night, Elisa knew she wanted to get it over with. She was nervous and she wanted to be with Goliath and the clan to be all together. Even Coldstone and Coldfire were out on the battlements with them. Everyone was together.

"Are you alright, Elisa?" Goliath asked upon awakening.

"Yes, but I want to go ahead and tell them all." She said.

"Alright." Then he turned to the others. "Everyone, Elisa and I have some important news for you all."

"What is it, lad?" Hudson asked.

"Everyone, it might seem impossible, but from when Goliath was changed into a human, and I have taken a test and seen a doctor, I have had symptoms that are not so pleasant lately." Elisa described.

"Yeah, we've noticed you aren't well, Elisa." Angela declared. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, I'll be fine. All these symptoms are really the start of something wonderful. Angela, you're going to be a big sister." Elisa declared happily.

Angela's eyes widened. "You mean it?" she asked in shock.

"Yes, Angela. We are having a child of our own." Goliath smiled.

"Oh, Father! I couldn't be happier for you both!" Angela hugged her father joyously.

"That is great, you two." Hudson grinned proudly.

"Wow! A new baby in the clan again." Lex smiled. "Alex can have a playmate."

"In a few years." Elisa told him with a grin.

"I'm so happy for you." Broadway declared. "Congratulations!"

Brooklyn and Katana were also happy for them. "You'll be great parents." Brook said with a smile.

"And you have each other to back each other up. And you'll have us too." Katana added.

"How soon is the tyke due?" Gnash asked.

"September 17th." Elisa told him.

"My new brother or sister will be hatched soon, and they can be friends." The young male stated.

"You might even get to babysit them." Elisa said.

"He might be a little young for that yet." Brook spoke up. "But he can be around them."

"Have you guys thought of a name for the hatchling yet?" Elisa asked.

"No, but if it's a girl, she might get a name like her mom's, based on a Japanese weapon. I don't know about a boy yet." Brooklyn replied.

"We'll find a name if it's a boy." Katana said.

"Of course you will." Elisa replied.

The clan celebrated the joyous news that night. A new human ally would soon be part of the clan.
