The week had flown by too fast. Now it was time for Elisa to be turned human again. Puck and Alex were waiting for her to be ready. It had to be voluntary. The clan was there to watch too.

Alex did the reversal spell, and she was turned human once again. Elisa was now human once again. Goliath came forward and helped her up. "Are you alright?" he asked in concern.

"Yes, I'm fine." She replied. "It feels weird being human again."

"I wish you could still be one of us. You were a great female of my kind." Goliath praised her.

"Thank you, but we are meant to be what we were born to be." Elisa stated.

"I know. It was fun while it lasted, but we still get to be together." Goliath smiled.

"Always." Elisa added. She was going to live here in the castle now with Goliath now. It would take getting used to living with the Xanatos family.

..............

Now that she was human again and the honeymoon was over, Elisa had to return to work again.

"Welcome back, Detective Maza. Have a good time with your husband?" Maria Chavez greeted her employee.

"Yes, Captain. It was wonderful. The best of my life." Elisa replied with a smile.

"That's great. Now we need to concentrate on work again." Maria went back to business. She assigned Elisa what she needed her to do for the night.

It was hard for Elisa to keep her mind on work after being gone for so long, but she would do her best.

..............

For a few weeks, everything was right back to what it was like before. Patrolling nightly and having family time back at the castle. Elisa was barely home being a cop except during the day sleeping.

It had been over a month since the honeymoon. But Elisa began to start feeling sick to her stomach. She woke up normally almost, but it wouldn't be long, and she would have to make a run for the bathroom in her suite.

She began getting nauseated a lot, getting dizzy, headaches, losing her focus. This wasn't like her. She had never felt like this before.

On her nights off, when she wanted to just spend time with Goliath, these spells would hit so suddenly. "What's wrong, Elisa?" he asked in concern.

"I don't know. I just don't feel good. It's been going on every day and night. Even when I'm working." Elisa replied.

"Maybe you should see a doctor." Goliath advised.

"Yeah, maybe I should." Elisa agreed. "It's been going on too long. I have to be able to focus at work."

At one point, Brooklyn and Katana were passing by and they witnessed one of Elisa's running to the bathroom, leaving a very mystified Goliath. Then there was vomiting heard.

The two beaked gargoyles looked at one another. They had a feeling they knew. They smiled.

"How long has that been happening, Goliath-Sama?" Katana asked.

"Several days and nights." Goliath replied.

"Well, given that you two are now officially mates, we think we know what's going on." Brooklyn declared.

"I just hope she's alright." Goliath said with a concerned look.

"Goliath, it might have been a long time, but don't you remember what happened before, a long time ago?" Brooklyn asked.

Goliath looked at his Second questionably. "What?"

"Back when Demona was your mate over a thousand years ago?" Brook reminded him.

"I still don't get it. There were many things Demona and I did over a thousand years ago." Goliath declared.

"Goliath-Sama. I had these same symptoms upon both my pregnancies with my eggs." Katana told him.

"Didn't Demona have these symptoms with Angela's egg?" Brook asked.

Goliath's eyes widened. "Oh. Now I understand. No, Demona didn't really have any symptoms."

"Well, it's obvious Elisa is carrying your child. It was hard for me to watch Katana go through these symptoms too." Brooklyn explained solemnly.

Goliath didn't think that a pregnancy was possible, but he thought back to the honeymoon and he had been a human man. Wow. He smiled. He would love to father a child with his love, even if it did seem a little soon.

When Elisa got out of the bathroom, Brook and Katana let them be.

"Elisa, are you alright now?" Goliath asked her.

"I still feel cramps and bloated. It just never seems to end. And I have no fever." She replied. She looked like she was drained of energy. She just wanted to crawl in bed again.

"Elisa, you remember us making love on our honeymoon?" Goliath said gently.

"Yes. I have no energy for that, Goliath." The woman grumped.

"No, not that. Elisa, I was human. We did it. I think you may be... well... carrying a child." Goliath explained. "Brooklyn and Katana explained it to me. I just didn't know the symptoms."

That thought hadn't crossed Elisa's mind. It could have been true. Her eyes widened. "What are we going to do, Goliath?" She was slightly panicked.

"This a miracle for us, Elisa. I had thought we were going to have to adopt children if we were wanting children. But it's possible." Goliath explained. "If we could have at least one child this way, I'll support you in whatever you need."

Elisa was nervous but seeing him talk this way with her, it made her feel loved and supported. She never would have guessed. She had been so busy since she got back. But pregnancy meant she would have to take it easier on the force, or not work at all for the safety of the baby.

.............

The next day, Elisa got a pregnancy test and followed the instructions.

The results were positive. Elisa was pregnant. Well, at least it had been figured out first.

She made an appointment to see a doctor. She felt more comfortable with a woman doctor this time since women understood better.

Dr. Belinda Conrad was her new doc's name. She stood about 5'7. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair was about mid-length down her back.

Dr. Conrad wanted to know if the father was present in her life. "He is, but he has a night job and can't come out in the daytime." Elisa had to make something up.

"Does he know?" Belinda asked.

"Yes, he does. He is being very supportive and wants to be here with me but can't." Elisa said.

"Alright." Belinda said. She then talked of the estimated due date. The baby would set to come around September 17th.

"Thank you." Elisa stated.

"Come back in a month for a checkup. The embryo would be so tiny right now it wouldn't hardly be able to be seen." Belinda explained. The embryo was about six weeks along.

"Thanks again." Elisa said on her way out.

She had pamphlets about what to expect. Elisa knew she could also talk to Fox too since she had carried Alex. It would be good having another woman to talk to. She could also talk to Katana too, though Katana had carried eggs instead of live fetuses.
