"THE CASTLE IS UNDER ATTACK!"
"The emperor is in danger!"
The words cut through the chaos like a blade, slicing through the thunderous noise in Hunter's mind. His heart pounded with urgency as alarms rang loudly in his head, the sound piercing and relentless.
He summoned his staff with a swift motion, the familiar weight grounding him as he took to the air, flying towards the source of the turmoil.
As he glanced upon the chaos in the castle, thoughts ran through his mind. What happened? Was it the rebels that had attacked? Had they finally made their move?
The sky started to darken, clouds gathering and threatening to pour.
Rumble. The sky rumbled, yet everyone was too occupied to even notice.
"THERE!" Amber's voice was sharp, pointing frantically towards a figure sprawled on the ground amidst the crumbling debris. The group rushed through the chaos, their eyes wide with horror as they beheld the state you were in.
"No..." Amber's voice trembled as she covered her mouth, her eyes locked on the pool of blood staining the stone floor where you lay. It was a sight straight out of her nightmare, seeing you wounded and bloodied on the ground, and on the brink of death.
Derwin moved swiftly, sliding across the fractured ground despite the sharp rocks and broken cement shards.
His hands trembled as he checked for your pulse, his face etched with worry. Even your hand was brutally wounded, burnt, and bleeding. Your blood stained his hands, making him tremble.
"Are they alive?!" Katya's voice was laced with desperation, running towards you and grabbing your hands your hands, her fingers feeling for a pulse with frantic energy.
"Their pulse is weak; we have to get a healer immediately," Derwin said urgently, flickering his gaze towards Gilbert with a mixture of fear and determination.
In the distance, the sounds of marching and hurried footsteps grew louder.
Gilbert, with a grim resolve, lifted your bloodied body with a gentle yet urgent care. "We have to leave," he said in a commanding voice, knowing how he was the only one that they could rely on at the moment.
The three kids nodded, their expressions grim as they ran through the thick smoke and chaos. The castle was disintegrating around them, but their focus was solely on getting you to safety.
"FIND THE EMPEROR AND MAKE SURE THAT HE IS SAFE!" Kikimora's commanding voice rang out, directing the coven scouts with steely precision.
"Yes, ma'am!" The scouts saluted, their attention diverted by the orders.
Kikimora's eyes narrowed with suspicion and anger as she surveyed the devastation, her gaze falling upon the ruined throne room. It was clear to her that the rebels had made their move.
"Where is the emperor?!" Hunter landed and shouted with a cold voice. He darted his eyes through the chaos but his vision remained obscured by the smoke and debris. He could also feel the electric currents of magic still present in the air at the tip of his skin.
Anger started to surge from his chest from the thought of the rebels actively trying to kill his uncle. It was enraging, to think that they would have been so brazen.
