Jason is tearing through the train station, he is going to be late for a lunch meeting with his mother. The 20 year old young man hated being late, he is almost running to catch the train into the centre to meet his mum. Fate would have that he would miss that train, he would find something almost more important.

Thud.

His body slammed into the frame of a woman.

"Shit!" He scrambled to help the young woman up, when their hands touched. Something changed, he would say it was like he had found his one, his love forever.

"Wow- I am so sorry miss?"

"Lucy Wilson" she answered looking for her glasses on the floor

"Miss Wilson, here let me your glasses for you. I am so sorry I wasn't paying attention." He picked up Lucys glasses and realised they had been trodden on. He didn't know what to say, he just looked at them. The broken pink glasses in his hands. He studied the frame to see if he can fix them in anyway. He couldn't.

"I am sorry someone has stood on them" Lucy said nothing, she just opened her mouth and closed it a few times.

"I will pay to get them fixed" he can hear the tannoy saying that his train was boarding, he ignored it.

"No no don't be silly. It was an accident." She says, just looking around in disbelief.

"I just don't know how I'm going to drive, I can't see without them. Fuck, I have a flat viewing appointment in like 15 minutes..."

"Let me make a phone call, I will take you. Its my fault."

Jason rang his mother and explained, he could almost hear Lynn smiling because he had mentioned a female. He ignores it and hangs up on her.

'I love you' he shoots that text over

Ping. He didn't check but he knew what it says

In the car Lucy is explaining her life story, she had recently wanted to become a writer so she wanted to move to the big city. Jason just listened and enjoyed this woman's company. He hadn't just enjoyed someone's company in a long time, he didn't want it to end. When they pull up to the address,

"Do you think you could come with me, I can't see if the flat is any good. Its okay if your busy"

Jason and Lucy later moved into that flat together, that whole day they spent together and people had asked them if they were a couple. And to days after, they spent all day together. They went for dinner, she stayed with him in his little studio place. He slept on the couch for the first night, the second night Lucy asked him to sleep in with her. They didn't sleep that night. They stayed up all night talking. Nothing more than that they just talked for hours about their past and their future.

At that moment Lucy knew he was the one

The third day 27.04.2014 Jason plucked up the courage and asked her to be his girlfriend.

"I thought you would never ask!" She kissed him. Jason thought he was the luckiest man in the world, he had found the woman he would spend his life with at the age of twenty. He didnt know that four years later he would find himself in that flat alone. The flat they had viewed on the day they met. He remembered what the landlord had said,
"You two are such a lovely couple"
They had tried to say that they had only just met but they realised that was silly it sounded silly so they made up a story about how they met a few years ago.

He rang his mother who wanted to meet her that day, he said no. Lucy said yes, Jason caved and they went to go and meet his mother. Lynn loved Lucy and told her that several times that day. Lynn made Lucy blush. They became best friends, if Jason coudnt find Lucy she would be with Lynn. Lucy loved Lynn equally, he was happy to have found someone who had fitted so perfectly into his family.

When Lucy died, Lynn nor Jason didn't talk the night she had passed. They didn't talk until the funeral, when he put his arms around her. They went home the night of the funeral and they cried seperately. And then they met up and they talked, for hours about Lucy. They shared the foundest memories of her. And they cried together, Lucy was the daughter Lynn couldn't have. And it broke her heart to have lost the future, lost a child and lost the son that she knew because after that day Jason had died a little inside.

Lynns fondest memory of Lucy had been the night she had unexpectedly showed up at Lynns door with cake. Jason had mentioned earlier that day what Archie had gone out of town for the weekend on a golf trip. Archie was meant to spend the weekend with Lynn. He had in fact promised. But he broke that promise and headed out anyway, there had been an argument about it but Lynn had given up. After Lucy had found out she had spent all morning baking cakes and cookies, running errends all day. Lucy had picked up crappy romcom movies and she had gotten face mask and nail polish. When Lucy had come to the door she wouldn't take no for an answer and just walked in, much like her son often did, and planned herself on the sofa. Lucy had then started to unpack her over night bag, the cakes and the baked goods that she had spent hours and hours making. The movies piled up on the coffee table.

"Jason told me your size, these are for you" Lucy handed her matching pjs, they were the ones they wore for every sleepover from then on. Lynn still wore them when she missed Lucy. That night they did everything that teenage girls did on their sleepovers. They giggled, and ate cake, they did each others make up and gushed over men in the movies. When the morning rolled around Lynn had expected to see Lucy up and ready to leave. But no Lucy had made breakfast, and stayed until Archie had got back into town. She had even offered to stay while they sorted things out. Lucy had called that evening to check on Lynn as well. That's when Lynn knew she was the one for Jason and that they would be best friends. Lucy had a drawer in Lynns home and she still did, both Lynn and Jason still thought she would walk through the door and it would be okay.

Jason and Lucy moved in together. Shortly after that night.

Lucy didn't leave again, they didn't spend more than two nights apart until the night that she had died. They had ran into the relationship and it grew with them.

They ran until they ran out of road. They ran til Lucy ran out of breath.
