What You Have

As we arrive into work that morning, my eyes are struggling to stay open. Nathan joins me in my classroom as I start unpacking for the day ahead.

"Babe are you sure you're feeling ok to work?" he asks resting his ass against my desk.. "You can go home if you want? I can get someone to cover your class?"

"No, I'm fine.. I'm just a little tired.. but I usually feel this way every morning.."

"Right.." he narrows his eyes suspiciously, before holding a hand out for me.. "Come here?"

I look down at his hand before placing the last book down, and walk around to meet him, I take his hand but he just pulls me in for a cuddle.

"I love you, even if you're a grumpy ass on a morning.."

"I'm a grumpy ass because of your son remember, and yes I'm blaming you for being so irresistible, that we had to have sex and then you got me pregnant.."

"Oh you love it.." he smirks.. "And thanks for putting that image in my head.. good job.."

"You're welcome.." I run my hand up his chest, and start to play with his tie.. "Now you can think of me all day and the way I would moa.." just as I'm about to finish that sentence.. the door swings open, revealing the very person, we didn't want to see yet.

"Nate! Good Morning!" She greets him with a smile before glancing towards me, and then down at my bump.. "And Katie.. oh.. uh that's new, you're pregnant?"

"Yes, indeed I am.." I smile running my hand over my stomach.. "He'll be here in a few months and we're so excited.." I look up to Nathan, who's beaming back at me.

"Since when?" She's shocked, like truly shocked.

"Since when was it your business?" I ask sharply, I don't mean to be but I'm irritated just by her presence.

"So that's why you guys got married.." she comments, and I'm a little took back... "Well I guess congratulations.."

"Actually, yes and no, yes we got married before the baby is born because our original date was going to be around his due date .." Nathan responds before I get the chance, "But if I understand what you're trying to say, then no.. I actually proposed to her before I found out.."

"Of course you did, anyway I'm not here to discuss what you two get up to..." she says a little sarcastically.. "Can we have a meeting later to discuss this terms plans? You know since you are my boss.."

"Uh.. sure yeah it's a pretty good idea to get the team together.." he smiles down at me, pulling me a little closer.. "What time do you think babe?"

"I uh.." I'm a little lost for words right now..

"I'm sorry Mr Gardner, you must have misunderstood, what I meant was can we have a meeting.. just us?"

"Oh..um well.. I guess I'll have to check my schedule and get back to you.."

"Ok then.. see you at break!" She smiles at him, before eyeing me as she walks off.

Stupid bitch.

"How dare she try and say we only got married because we're having a baby.." He frowns, literally taking the words out of my mouth, I can see he's a little annoyed so I try and distract him by playing with his tie again.
