Alexa's POV

My wolf and I felt as though we were dying. The worry about Adrian and pain from our link was tearing our soul apart. I could feel the babies kicking frantically, feeling my stress and worry for my mate; their father.

Andrew was being extremely careful not to harm Adrian anymore than he was. My wolf and I appreciated it.

On top of worrying for Adrian, I was also worrying for my parents, and my little sister.

I looked over to where a male was carrying her passed-out form in his muscular arms. Her head hung limply to the side, her arm thrown haphazardly across her chest in a frenzy to get Adrian to the pack doctor.

"Don't worry Alexa, we'll be there soon. Adrian is going to be fine." Said Andrew. The last part was said more to reassure himself than me. That didn't really help the situation.

I turned from Allison to look at the beta, James. He was tense and he kept sniffing the air. Weird.

He froze when he heard my sister whimper. He turned around slowly growled; nearly killing the male that was holding my sister. In a burst of inhuman speed, he had grabbed my sister from the male and was holding her tenderly to his chest. She started whimpering again and he started placing soft butterfly kisses along her forehead.

"Mine." He whispered, in complete awe of the woman in his arms.

My sister stopped whimpering and instead nuzzled her head in James's chest. His smile looked bright enough to outshine the sun. I was happy for my sister. From what Adrian had told me and from how long I've been around him, James is a sweet to those he loves and stern to those he commands. He is especially protective of the women and children; it's only going to intensify by 5 over his mate; especially because she was abused and is in a fragile state.

He looked up at me, winked and started walking again. If I wasn't so worried about Adrian and if he wasn't carrying my sister, i'de go all Kung-fu pregnant hormonal Luna ninja on his hide; and I mean it.

I glared at his back as he walked away. I guess being Luna meant I was protective of all females. My brother nudged me with his elbow.

"Are you ok, Alex?" He asked, softly. I shook my head as I looked around at my parents, my siblings and my mate.

"I'm feeling ecstatic that out whole family is together again, but angry, and worried about everyone's health." I said as I started absentmindedly running my fingers thoughts Adrian's brown hair.

"If someone dies, I don't think I'll be able to handle it." I said sadly.

Andrew looked at me and smiled sadly.

"Me too."

Adrian's POV

My whole body felt as if I was on fire.

My veins were filled with molten lava and my lungs felt as if they were filled with smoke.

Even my eyelids hurt.

The only place that felt good was the crown of my head. The pleasurable tingles washed away the gut-wrenching pain.

Alexandria.

I smiled mentally.

She was safe.

And, I couldn't believe the incredible roar that had tumbled out of her mouth. The sound was soul-piercing; but in a good way. It made my wolf giddy that out mate was so protective of everyone.

Like a Luna should be.

I was worried about my babies and my mate, but I knew the pack wouldn't let them get hurt. Or, I would hurt them.

It's just the way it works. The Luna is basically the most important person in the pack. Se takes care of everyone. Men, women, and children. She guides them, teaches them and loves them as thought she was their mother. And, the Alpha couldn't have a strong pack and be a strong Alpha if he didn't have his Luna. She holds everything together. She influences everyone with her caring, kind, and loving nature. She reigns in my temper and keeps everyone calm. She's amazing.

And that is exactly what she has been, what she is now, and what she will be.
