I skipped behind tokoyami as he lead the way through the castle. soon we came to a part of the castle I didn't recognize.
Suddenly The feathered man in-front of me suddenly came to a stop in front of a set of large doors so tall they nearly touched the ceiling, which I assumed to be the grand hall tokoyami had mentioned before to bakugou.
"The prince requested I keep it a secret until later, but since you're being so impatient.. I assume he will make an exception." He spoke before heaving the heavy door open.
My eyes widened at the large room in-front of me, people rushed around us carrying boxes and vases of fragrant flowers as we walked by them.
"This is the ball room" the bird man explained "the queen requested a welcoming banquet for your arrival"
I gawked at the many decorations that littered the ceiling and floor, shaking tokoyamis arm in excitement. It reminded me of the celebrations we used to have back in esmary for my brothers when they would return home from battle, but I had never had one of my own.
"Watch where you're going princess.." tokoyami spoke, pushing my head down softly as we ducked under a ladder. "Watch your head.."
"Tokoyami, what are you thinking letting the princess walk under a ladder like that!? You know it's bad luck" a familiar voice spoke.
"kiri!" I spoke excitedly.
"Hey princess!" He smiled, his arms full of a box of decorations. "I thought you weren't supposed to know bout this for a couple days?" He raised a brow at tokoyami.
"She wouldn't quit asking." Tokoyami responded, shrugging his shoulders.
"Hey kirishima!" Another voice yelled from across the room "these are the right- oh princess! Even better" Mina spoke, her arms full with a bundle of flowers.
"Pink hydrangeas, these are your favourite right??" She smiled, holding up the flowers for me to look at.
"Yeah.. how'd you know?" I smiled looking down at the bouquet, slightly confused.
"The prince mentioned.." she shrugged, before suddenly being grabbed by the shoulders by a certain yellow haired guard.
"Yeah mentioned like a bazillion times.." denki spoke, rolling his eyes, dropping a crate of hydrangeas onto the floor beside him. "He said, and I quote, 'they have to be the pink ones. And if they're not I'll blow your stupid face up" he said in his best bakugou impression, which was surprisingly good.
"Yeah he seemed pretty set on getting you those flowers.." kirishima chuckled, kicking my shin slightly and raising his eye brows at me.
"Shut up.." I spoke under my breathe, nudging his arm to cut it out. Which only made him giggle more.
"Mina, denki! Get back to work!" An older man, who I assumed to be their superior, yelled at the two "the ball is in 3 days time and I can't imagine the king and queen will be too happy if they walk in here and see you two slacking off."
"Yes sir!" The two chimed, quickly gathering their supplies, Mina sending me a quick wave before rushing off.
"Princess I was just about to go out to Satos, Care to join me?" Kirishima asked, setting the box in his hands onto an empty table.
"Is that okay with you tokoyami?" I asked the bird man, not wanting to leave him alone by himself.
"Of course it is princess.." he nodded his head slightly. "Have fun"
"Okay! I'll see you soon then" I smiled, giving him a small wave his way, as I followed kirishima towards the door.
"I gotta put in a dessert order for the ball, so it might take a- oh hey bakubro!" Kirishima said, stopping in the middle of the doorway as his shoulder collided with a very annoyed looking prince.
"Get out of my way." Bakugou huffed, pushing kirishima.
"bakugou!" I called after him, grabbing onto his arm slightly to get his attention, which he almost immediately shrugged off "thank you for the flowers" I smiled, before taking hold of kirishimas Sleeve, leading him out of the room before the blonde could respond.

"200 cupcakes, 50 cakes, anddd.... I forgot." Kirishima babbled as we walked through the town towards the bakery.
"Told you, you should've written it down.." I shrugged sarcastically.
"I have a killer memory, I don't need to write anything down" he giggled, holding the bakery's door open for me.
"Hey kirishima!" Sato waved as we approached the counter "princess" he nodded, winking his eye at me swiftly.
"Heyyyy buddy.. I need to make an Teenie tiny order.." kirishima lied through his teeth, a guilty look plastered across his face.
"How Teenie tiny?" Sato asked, crossing his large arms over his chest, raising an eyebrow at the red head.
"200 cupcakes, 50 cakes... anddd whatever it is we usually get from you..." kirishima cringed before completing his sentence "..by Tuesday"
"THREE DAYS!?" Sato exploded "I TOLD YOU NOT TO GIVE ME SUCH SHORT NOTICE FOR THESE THINGS."
"I know, I know. It's just I kindaaa forgot, and if I don't confirm this order I'm pretty sure the queen will execute me.." he explained, only half joking.
So much for 'killer memory' I thought to myself.
"Okay fine." Sato said sternly pointing a finger at the red head "but, I have to use the castles kitchen AND staff"
"Sounds perfect bro!" Kirishima exclaimed, holding his hand for Sato to shake.
"And you have to help me as well." Sato said, swiftly grabbing his hand, shaking it harshly.
"AW MAN NO" kirishima groaned "YOU KNOW I CANT BAKE"
"Already shook on it! You can't take it back" the baker shrugged, causing me laugh silently at their loud banter.
