Everything at the office is fine. The collaboration with Malik's is so helpful that I don't have to worry about anything much. It's been two months since we signed the agreement papers and the time just slipped away. All the paperwork was done in no time and I am so grateful for that.
As soon as we received the material for our clothing, I immediately dispatched them to our production unit.
I didn't want any interruptions or delays in my plans, so I made everything ready beforehand.
Thanks to my advisor cum friend, Zahra. She understands my plans and my vision and advises me accordingly. And no doubt we get along so well.
She is a beautiful young girl dedicated to her work.
I visit the production unit every day to make sure everything is done perfectly and to ensure there is everything they need.
It will probably take more than one month or so for our new clothing to launch and by the time I have my marketing team working on how to reach the customers, the customizations they prefer and all the stuff like that.
-----------------
It's already been a month and today is the launch date for the abayas.
My office has a thick atmosphere which is making my adrenaline spike up.
I'm excited, nervous and happy all at the same time.
We've put them in all possible advertising streams we could reach.
The next day, our stores were full with excited customers coming in and were content while leaving. And we have recorded increasing customers throughout the week. That is what Mr. Malik informed me this evening with so much appreciation in his tone.
I heard Mahir saying something about a party from the other end and Mr. Malik quickly added that there is a party which is going to be held at Malik's for the success of our collaboration.
"But I think it is too early for a party, I guess we could wait for another two weeks to see how it goes." I quickly added.
"I suggested the same to Mahir. Actually this was his idea and he's been planning for the party before the launch itself. It seems he can't wait to see y... let me complete, you silly thing!"
The last sentence was in a faint voice and it seemed that someone yanked the mobile from his hand. "Hello, is everything alright there?" I was concerned.
"Yes, everything is fine. It's just that we need you at the party on Saturday by 7 PM sharp. I'll ask my assistant to text you the venue and if you face any problem to find the address, contact the same person. See you on Saturday. Thank you," the call ended.
Mahir, the jerk.
I stare at my mobile, confused. What was all of this? Was he inviting me for a party or instructing an employee to complete an important task?
Mr. Rude!
I take a deep breath and try to brush it off my mind.
Saturday, right? There are two more days to think about it. But now I'm too excited about the girl's night we're having tonight. Zahra, Laila and my other department heads are going to join us at my place.
