Light, happiness and hope diminished into darkness, misery and despair.

Life took a turn from what it looked like heaven to something I could never imagine. One minute I have everything that I've dreamed of, but the next everything is doomed.

Despite my persistent calls and texts, there's been no response from her. Even though she's now at her parent's home and presumably safe, thoughts of her well-being continue to occupy my mind. As I sit in my office, an unsettling restlessness pervades me, fueling impatience for justice to be served to the perpetrator. I eagerly await the day when accountability is demanded, envisioning a moment when she might seek forgiveness. The opinions of the world are no longer a concern; this is a private matter between me and my adversary.

True to my promise, I've committed to sharing her burdens and sorrows, taking on the responsibility of ensuring her happiness. Those who attempt to harm her will face the full force of my unwavering resolve.

Vigilantly watching over her, known as Laila, I bide my time, waiting for the opportune moment to intervene. Witnessing your adversary freely moving about is undoubtedly agonising. Nonetheless, she is now within my control, and no one or nothing can shield her from me.

To manage Daneen's business affairs, I've delegated the responsibility to a skilled and reliable member of my team. Additionally, a group has been assigned to handle media and online matters during this challenging time.

Despite our efforts, there's been minimal advancement in the case. I find myself immersed in discussions with seasoned lawyers to navigate through the legal complexities. However, obtaining Daneen's perspective is crucial for progress. While my desperation is evident, I am committed to exercising patience as we await her input.

In my free time, I couldn't find anything to do except to vent out my anger by playing basketball.

No-one, just me, it's like I'm competing with myself.

I'm wearing a basketball tank and shorts, shoes and a headband. Generous amount of my skin is going to be tanned after this session, but I don't care.

I've lost track of time, but nothing has satisfied me yet. The scorching noon heat has no effect on me, but I can feel the beads of sweat dripping from my forehead and my hair has become clammy.

The dribbling of the basketball calms my senses, and when the ball hits the goal, I feel victorious.

Yet, on this particular day, even the familiar routine failed to quell the unrest brewing inside me. As I prepared to take another shot, a sudden onslaught of sunlight blinded me, casting dark shadows across my vision. Struggling to regain my focus, I stumbled, collapsing to the ground in a daze.

With no one around to witness my fall save for the vigilant guards, I lay there, grappling with the darkness that engulfed me, both within and without.

Amidst a haze, distant voices murmured around me, their words muffled and indistinct. Then, abruptly, I felt myself being lifted, and from there, my memory fades into nothingness.

As I gradually regained consciousness, I sensed the darkness enveloping me. Sharp pains radiated throughout my body, my head throbbing relentlessly. Despite the discomfort, I brushed it aside and changed into more comfortable attire.

Stealthily, I crept out of my room, only to find my house swarming with guards. Confusion gripped me as I wondered what chaos had unfolded in my absence. Spotting one of the guards, I silenced him with a piercing glare, commanding him to keep silent. His compliance came swiftly, a testament to the fear in his eyes.
