Third Person's POV

Cally always looked forward to Mondays, unlike many people. To her, it marked the beginning of the work week, and she genuinely loved what she did. Sometimes, she even found herself heading to the office on Sundays.

On this particular Monday, she seemed in a rush, hastily preparing to leave for work. "Macey, I won't have breakfast today. I need to head to the office now," she announced while gathering her belongings in the living room.

Concerned, Macey asked, "Do you want me to pack your lunch for you?"

"No, thank you. I need to go. Bye," Cally replied, hurrying out the door without so much as a glance at Macey.

Left alone, Macey wandered to the kitchen, eyeing the breakfast she had prepared. She sighed and decided to eat. As she began her meal, a distant memory resurfaced.

"Macey, today I won't have breakfast. Can I take the food you made for my lunch?" Cally had asked Macey, wrapping her arms around her from behind.

"Of course, Cally. I made it for you, anyway," Macey responded, gently caressing Cally's arms.

Cally planted a kiss on Macey's cheek, expressing her gratitude. "Thank you, baby," she said, pulling Macey into a tight embrace.

Macey was overcome with emotion, tears welling up as she dwelled on the memories. Her heart felt heavy, filled with unanswered questions about what had caused the sudden coldness in their relationship.

Cally's Workplace

Meanwhile, at Cally's workplace, she arrived earlier than usual. Her coworkers welcomed her with warm greetings as she entered the office.

"Look who's here, our hardworking general manager!" Jade, Cally's best friend, and Macey's older sister, exclaimed teasingly.

Cally blushed, feeling flustered. "Oh, please, stop it, unnie," she responded softly.

Jade laughed, smiling at Cally. "You're the best employee we have. Embrace it, my friend," she insisted, patting Cally on the back.

"I'm not used to all this attention," Cally confessed.

Jade chuckled and waved, "Then get used to it." With that, she excused herself, mentioning an errand she had to run.

As Cally settled into her workspace, a coworker, Samantha, popped by her cubicle. "Good morning, Cally," Samantha greeted her, wearing a radiant smile.

Cally reciprocated the greeting, "Good morning, Sam."

Samantha handed Cally a cup of her favorite coffee. "Here you go, Cally," she said with a warm smile.

Cally was deeply touched by the gesture. "Thank you so much, Sam. This is my favorite," she expressed in awe.

Samantha winked and spoke, "That's for all your hard work, darling. You deserve it."

"Thank you again," Cally replied, savoring the coffee as Samantha returned to her workspace.

Observing the interaction, Denise, Cally's coworker, commented, "Poor Cally. Looks like she's now Samantha's latest target."

"I hope Cally doesn't fall for her. That could spell trouble," Trixie, another coworker, added.

As Samantha walked away, she whispered to herself, "You'll be mine, Cally."

Macey's POV

Lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed by my multitude of responsibilities, making it difficult for me to concentrate. My mind keeps drifting to thoughts of Cally, adding to my distraction. Unlike Cally, who has a regular job, I work as a freelance dance instructor and have more flexibility in my schedule. However, I can't help but feel a bit isolated and miss the regular social interactions with my friends.

My lifelong aspiration has been to become a professional ballerina and share my passion with others. I've always envisioned myself teaching and performing, but it seems like that dream may not come to fruition now. I've made the difficult decision to put aside my career aspirations to support Cally in pursuing her dream job, even though it means giving up on my own professional goals.

Despite the sacrifices, I don't feel resentful or disappointed. Instead, I find peace in knowing that I've chosen to prioritize my relationship with Cally over my ambitions, and that brings me happiness.

Third Person's POV

*Ding dong

The sound of the doorbell snapped Macey from her daydreaming.

"A visitor? Who could this be again?" She asked herself and went to the door.

As she opened the door, she was shocked and in fear of seeing what was in front of her. A dead cat and it bathed in its own blood.

"Ahhh!!!"

She screamed and closed the door immediately. She was now in a panic state. She can't handle the situation because she is afraid of blood. A past traumatic experience began to appear in her mind. Normally, Cally would calm her in this kind of circumstances but in this case, she is nowhere to be found.

Cally's Workplace

During lunchtime, Cally sat alone in the bustling cafeteria, enjoying her meal. Amidst the chatter and clatter of the room, Samantha approached her with a friendly smile.

"Hi, Cally. Can I join you?" Samantha asked, gesturing towards the seat opposite Cally.

"Of course. Please, take a seat," Cally replied warmly, pausing her meal to make room for Samantha at the table.

"Are you sure it's okay for me to eat with you?" Samantha double-checked, wanting to be considerate of Cally's space.

"Yes, go ahead. I'll just grab some water," Cally assured her, rising from her seat and leaving her phone on the table.

As Cally walked away, her phone suddenly began to ring. Samantha noticed the caller ID flashing Macey's name. Reacting swiftly, Samantha declined the call and composed a quick message, "I'm busy," sent it, and deleted it from Cally's phone.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the line, Macey was overwhelmed with fear and emotions and had been hoping for Cally's support. When her call was declined, and she received the dismissive message, it shook her to the core, leaving her so distraught that she lost consciousness.

When Cally went back to the table to eat, she noticed her phone changed position but she didn't bother to think about it anymore.

"So, Cally, are you taken?" Samantha boldly asked.

Cally was a bit shocked by the question. She didn't expect it from her. "Yes, I'm taken. Why did you ask?" She said.

Samantha pretended to think and said, "Nothing, just curious, darling." She said and smiled at Cally. "Stay strong for both of you." She said and simply held Cally's hand.

Cally blushed at the gesture but still managed to smile at Samantha.

Third Person's POV

An hour had passed. While Cally is busy with her coworker, I mean, workloads, Macey just woke up from being unconscious. It's the natural way for her body to overcome her fear.

"I lost consciousness again," Macey said standing up from the floor. She looked at the peephole in the door and found out the cat wasn't there anymore. She felt relieved.

"Cally..." She softly said and sobbed. Her heart was heavy because of her girlfriend. The way Cally treats her makes her feel empty and insignificant.

"She's crying again. I felt bad for her. Her girlfriend is bad." Miri said sitting outside the door. She removed the dead cat. It was a prank by the other kids that resulted in a bad event.

"Stop crying, unnie." She whispered in the air.
