SERENA GILBERT IS THE KIND OF PERSON who ignores her pain and problems until it eventually goes away, but there are limits when you can't ignore it, not even when you are asleep, you get the nightmares about it and whenever you go the problem follows. since her parents death Serena knew that not every problem or pain could be ignored.
the night of her parents death, those memories still follow her, even when she is asleep they disguise themselves as nightmares, when she is daydreaming suddenly everything crushes together and makes her think of that night again. because of the accident Serena is afraid of the water, swimming. this past months she hardly left her room, hardly spoke to anyone in the house or on the phone, Serena spend all the days on her bad, reading the books, getting away from reality. she needed to change that, she needed to become the person she once was, with tons of friends, being life of the party and having fun.
Serena could feel that everything would change, it had to.
she opened the door of her room, walked out and knocked on her sisters door, their rooms were in front of each other, then Serena thought to herself when did she ever knock and just bursted inside "good morning lena, i need your black jacket"
Elena looked up surprised, holding her diary, this felt like it was the first time Serena had walked into her room "when have you ever asked to take my clothes?"
"i know, but i couldn't find it" she shrugged "now where is it"
Elena rolled her eyes "right next to me, i am wearing it today"
"ugh" Serena groaned "come on, just wear something else"
"no, i chose it first, in fact i bought it first" Elena said proudly
Serena glared at her "and that is why i am Jeremys favorite sister" she closed the door as Elena chuckled shaking her head

Serena heard her aunts voice as she walked down the stairs. She was their legal guardian since the death of their parents. For Serena, She was the second mother, one of the closest people who you could tell anything to and don't get judged.
