The dragon welcomed Aika by breathing fire all around, once again scorching the bricks that surrounded it. Aika felt no fear as she approached the dragon and began climbing onto its neck. There was no saddle, and nothing to hold onto except its scales, so she did just that.

"Ivestragī's jiōragon hen hen kesīr," (Let's get out of here) Aika whispered, and the beast started moving. First, it slightly shifted its wings, then moved its body to face the entrance from which Aika had come.

With a swift flap of its wings, the dragon soared through the tunnel, making small turns before emerging into the main arena of the Dragonpit. Only then did Aika and the other dragonkeepers present realize the enormous size of the creature.

Next, the beast let out a roar so deafening that Aika was sure everyone in the city heard it. And she wasn't wrong. The screech alarmed even those in the Red Keep, as her mother stepped out onto the balcony to see where the sound had come from.

The dragonkeepers began running further away from the giant main entrance as the dragon prepared to fly through it.

"Soves," (Fly) Aika commanded, and the dragon gathered its wings. In the next moment, they both flew out of the entrance, leaving the doorframe destroyed behind them.

Once fully outside, the beast spread its wings wide, casting a shadow that covered a large section of King's Landing. The city bells continued to ring as Aika soared over the towers.

She heard another dragon screech, which caught her dragon's attention.

"Daor," (Don't) she ordered, "īlon kessa jikagon." (We should go.)

Aika glanced back as the dragon flew further from King's Landing and saw Rhaenyra standing beside her own dragon at the city gates. The Black Queen looked up at her, and unexpectedly, made no move to stop Aika from fleeing the city.

Meanwhile, near Harrenhal, a bloody fight was taking place.

The attack came without warning, brutal and swift. Caraxes dove at Vhagar, letting out a piercing shriek as he struck, the setting sun blinding Aemond's sight. The two dragons collided with a deafening roar, their flames igniting the sky like a raging wildfire. They plummeted toward the lake, the Blood Wyrm sinking its teeth into Vhagar's neck. Despite Vhagar's claws and teeth tearing at Caraxes, the smaller dragon bit deeper, racing toward the water below.

But as the two dragons fought with savagery, another presence loomed in the air. With an ear scratching roar, a black dragon appeared in the darkening sky, its wings slicing through the air with the power of a storm.
