After completing my morning rituals, I descended to the kitchen, where everyone was busy lending a hand.

It was almost time for breakfast, yet Rudra was still asleep.

"Is Rudra still sleeping?" Maa inquired.

"I'm not sure, Maa, Maybe he's getting ready. I'll go check," I replied, excusing myself to go upstairs.

As I turned to leave, I unexpectedly collided with someone’s chest.

"And where do you think you're going?" Rudra asked, a playful glint in his eyes.

I took a moment to take him in from head to toe, not just once, but twice.

"Oh, there you are!" maa teased. "We were waiting for you. Were you still upset with Aarushi from yesterday? Is that why you're late for breakfast today?"

"Ma, please!" Rudra groaned, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Not now!"

Just then, Rohan barged into the kitchen with his usual exuberance. "Hello, beauties! What’s going on in here?"

He paused, placing a hand on Rudra's shoulder and giving him a playful nudge. "Wow, Bhai, you look particularly dashing today in that black shirt! Black really suits yu."

Rudra shot him an exaggerated glare.

"Stop it with the death stare, bro. It's just a compliment," Rohan said, laughing.

"Alright, alright, I'll take it back if you want."

“So, what’s cooking today, Bhabhi Ma?” Rohan asked, turning his attention to me as he nudged my shoulder playfully.

But my eyes were fixed on Rudra. He looked so striking today, more so than usual. Was it deliberate?

"Uh... I... umm..." I stammered, caught off guard.

"Lost in thought, hmmm hmmm?" Rohan teased.

"No, no, not at all," I replied, snapping back to reality.

“Enough chit-chat, everyone! Let’s move to the dining table,” Maa announced, her voice warm yet authoritative.

Rohan chatted animatedly with Ma as he made his way out of the kitchen, with Rudra following closely behind.

"Why are you wearing a black shirt today?" I called after Rudra, unable to help myself.

"Why? Oh, yeah, I suppose white would have been better. Let me go change," Rudra said, pretending to consider it seriously.

"No, you're not wearing white, nor are you wearing black," I said.

"So what then?" He paused, pretending to ponder before giving me a teasing smile. "Oh, I see. Maybe I should just go without a shirt."
