Chapter 27|| 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

Giyuu woke to the sunlight streaming through the open windows. When he looked beside him, the bed was empty - no Sanemi in sight.

He groaned softly before slipping off the bed. Instead of putting on his clothes, he took the blanket and wrapped it around himself.

He walked toward the door and stepped out of his room. In the kitchen, he found Sanemi.

He was cooking, wearing a plain white shirt and boxers.

And early in the morning, Giyuu couldn't help the thoughts that consumed him. He approached Sanemi and hugged him from behind.

"Morning," he whispered near his ear.

"Morning. Go sit - this is almost done," Sanemi replied. But Giyuu only held him tighter.

"I want you."

"What, you want to eat me?"

"Mhm. Delicious."

Sanemi chuckled and elbowed Giyuu lightly.

"Stop playing around and prepare the plates."

"Mhm, okay."

When Sanemi finally finished cooking and setting the food on the table, they began to eat.

It was early morning - the sun high and bright, warm as the smiles on their faces as they looked into each other's eyes, as if their love was warmer than the sunlight itself.

They talked and teased each other, the kind of moment that lingered even after the food was gone. Not just in the kitchen, now empty, nor in the corners of the walls that witnessed it - but in their hearts, filling the emptiness they once knew.

A soft silence followed after the laughter faded from their lips.

Then Giyuu broke it.

"I love you."

Sanemi chuckled.

"I love you too."

They said it as if they had finally found peace - as if no more troubles would ever come their way.

But they didn't think of the future. They only thought of this warm, fleeting moment - one that nothing else could ever replace.

And their love continued to bloom.

I decided to end it this way, lol. I actually missed writing this, but re-reading it had me dead. So I'll unpublished the other chap.

I'm still a GiyuSane shipper and might actually write more fics about them in the future, but I'm basically obsessing over someone else right now and decided to write their fic instead of actually finishing this one 😃

Anyway, thank you all for reading and voting for this fic! I really enjoyed writing it, and I loved reading everyone's comments. But I had to drop it because the plot's a mess and doesn't really flow smoothly.
