"Kunwarsa.. I did not mean.." he had stormed out before she could explain herself.
She slumped on her bed not understanding what just happened. She hadn't anticipated that he would take offense like that. She was neither blaming him nor asking for his assurance. She was just sharing what she felt. He himself had mentioned them being friends so many times and now he was not even ready to listen to what she had to share.******************************************************************************
It was almost a week since she last saw him. Ranima had consoled her that as soon as he is back he will come for her but she has been on the edge since he left. He could have met once before he left but no he had to disappear like that after marching out angrily.
She sat in front of the writing desk trying to respond to a letter sent by Maanvati but she could hardly manage to concentrate on anything. She sighed knowing very well it was a lost cause so she got up from the desk. That's when she heard a sound near the window. This time even before looking , she knew who was the source of the sound. She turned staring at the person who was the cause of so much stress for the past few days.
"Ajab.." he called out. She kept glaring at him without responding. He finally had time to think of her when she was living all this while with so much anxiety.***************************************************************************
