You were too complex for Randal to put his finger on even the slightest. If it weren't for your manipulative mentality then he is sure that he would be granted the blessing of being able to understand your character.
You weren't kind, but you could be.
You were mean, as always.
You were both arrogant and ignorant, same old, same old.
These were all signs of your complex personality. Whether it be a manipulative tactic or overall just your personality, it made Randal confused.
Why were you so mean but also so nice?
Why were you so annoyed but also tolerant?
Why, just why? Why can't you just stick to one thing and be done with it? Why must you act like he was a difficult puzzle piece that you didn't care what happened to? You piece him back together again only to destroy all progress with such carelessness, like you didn't even care.
Who was he to complain? No one had ever tolerated him like you do. No one had cared enough to stay by his side for as long as you have... so he assumes that it's a good thing. As long as you keep your gaze on him, he's okay with that.
But what about you? Were you fine? You didn't act like it at all...
So how come you still stick around?
That's an easy question, you feel bad for him! You understand that he struggles with making friends so you being the amazing you are, stepped up to give him your hand in friendship! You just want to make him happy because you do care for him and that's all that matters to him. Sure, in other people's eyes, this wouldn't be a healthy mindset to have but Randal on the other hand feels very healthy inside(?) and out(?)!
The countless nights he would lay in his beloved coffin and think about how lucky he was to have you around. I mean, yeah—he has Luther, Nyon, Nyen...
Oh, and Sebastian... good old Sebastian who was oh to naive and obedient. He was also a theft. Randal hates his guts so bad that it makes his stomach churn. Why is it that you're so nice to him all the time but not with him? The lord must've been generous with Sebastian, allowing him to be graced with such kindness from you. What's wrong with him? What is he doing wrong? He's doing everything that a good friend does—so why? If you hate him then why can't you just act like it? Why play in his face like this? Don't you feel bad for him being alone, not being able to maintain any friendships?
Why do you hurt him?
Why do you make him feel less?
Why do you make him do such hard things for you only for it to all go wrong?
Why do you treat him so badly?
Oh, but don't ask questions as to why you're so mean...he doesn't know either. What can he say? It's all just one big loop and it's only changes are more confusing question that Randal can't ask anybody. Including himself.
