"Ranny~" Y/n sang out with an innocent smile on their face as they leaned up against Randal in a soothing manner.
Randal felt his face heat up at the close contact he rarely received from her, feeling her breath tickling the nape of his neck. "Y-Yes?" His voice wavered as he mustered up a goofy smile.
"Do you remember trying to convince me to go to that pond in the woods?" Randal's ears perked up at that, turning around to look at you more fully. "I was wondering if we could go there today."
"You—You would want to? Like actually want to?!"
"Mhm. That's what friends do, right?"
As Randal looked into your eyes, he felt an overwhelming sense of joy and relief when he saw that you had finally accepted him as a friend. It seemed like a dream come true for him, and it made him feel that all his efforts to change your perception of him had finally paid off. Throughout all the times he had tried to change your opinion of him and not feel like an outcast, this moment made it all worthwhile. "O—Okay! Crap, where's my shoes?"
"I'll be in the living room waiting." Y/n hummed. She made her way down to the living room where Nyon, Nyen, and of course, Luther were sitting. Doing whatever they usually did as a daily routine. "Good afternoon." She greeted. She saw Luther lift his eyes away from his newspaper.
"Good afternoon to you too, Y/n. Have you seen Randal?"
"He's getting himself together. We're going to the pond in the woods that he wanted to show me." She replied with a gentle smile.
Luther let out a hum of acknowledgment, looking back at his newspaper. It was quiet for a few moments before he spoke up again. "Y/n," he spoke up, eyes not removing themselves from the newspaper in front of them. "I just wanted to thank you for being patient with Randal lately." He said. "I'm sure you had your fair share with his...ways."
"I sure did. It gets tiring once in a while but at the end of the day, he is still my friend. It's best to just accept the way he is with all the patience within me." Y/n took a seat on a chair as she spoke. She doesn't know how she continued staying here with Randal herself, all she knew was that it's what a friend does. Randal is his person and has a set of traits that can make him a little rowdy but as his friend, she has to learn how to be able to withstand it. "He is a whole lot to handle but that's what I love about being his friend. Always full of ideas and adventures."
