I purposefully did not follow Qimir back to the cave, but instead took an alternative route back to the shore. I could've gotten lost for all I care, but I actually preferred it than having to deal with Qimir at that moment. I was still pissed at the fact that he refused to have a decent conversation with me like normal human beings, let alone hear out my valid reasons.

I would go as far as say it would be much better to talk to a rock.

It was a bonus that walking along the shore alone gave me a nice peace and quiet. The soft caress of the wind and the faint sounds of waves crashing brought me some peace of mind. It was a vast contrast from those populated cities where I constantly had to stay on high alert. I don't even remember the last time I've heard the ocean waves and felt a nice cool wind caressing my face.

Well, I wasn't even sure if I'd actually seen an ocean before. For all I knew, it could've just been one of those dreams that repeated so many times that I started to confuse it as a memory.

After a while of walking, I was surprised to arrive at a small lagoon which somehow had formed due to a rock wall surrounding it. There were several large rocks here and there. I approached the edge of the water and took a whiff, and was surprised to find out that the water was barely salty, almost becoming fresh water. If I took a bath here, the rocks would provide enough privacy, plus the water wouldn't hurt my wounds as much as the salt water.

I carefully looked around just to make sure Qimir was nowhere in sight. The least thing I wanted was for him to find out where I was and stare at me while I was butt-naked. I didn't really know
where he was at the moment, but it was the least of my concern as long as he's far away from here. Once I confirmed that the coast was clear, I finally removed my clothes and neatly folded them together on top of a nearby rock.

I sighed in relief as I felt the cold water envelope my body, and I continued to walk forward until I was neck deep. It's been a long while since I last had a nice bath. The water was cold, but not too cold, and I had to close my eyes in contentment as I scrubbed away days worth of dirt, grime and sweat from my skin.

Despite the serenity of the moment, my mind inevitably drifted to what fate has for me from tomorrow onwards. Qimir gave me two days to stay, and tomorrow would be the last. After that, I didn't even know which planet to go to.

Since Qimir refused to teach me despite my best efforts to convince him, maybe I should go to the Jedi Temple in Coruscant instead? I wasn't even sure if they'd still accept me despite being way past my teens, and for all I know, they might even jail me if they find out about my reputation as a fugitive thief.

Either way, those two possibilities were still a lot better than sit around and wait for the hutts to hunt me down.

I looked at the wounds on my hands as I tried to remember what I did back at the Olega market. If I remember correctly, the Jedi call it a 'force push'. Perhaps I should train that on my own if I wanted to convince the Jedi that I am, indeed, a force user.

I lifted my hands and crossed them in front of me, the same way I did in Olega. I tried to push the air in front of me, but nothing happened. I felt ridiculous, but I didn't know how else to do it. I tried doing it harder, even different hand gestures or hand placements, but still nothing happened.

I rubbed my face in frustration, but I couldn't afford to give up. I took a deep breath and lifted my hands once again, preparing to do it one more time.
