Sana, on her part, felt a similar pull toward Sidharth. His thoughtful demeanor and the way he listened attentively made her feel valued and cared for. As they exchanged glances and shared smiles, she started to look forward to their interactions with a sense of anticipation. Despite the growing closeness, she was convinced that their relationship was simply a deepening friendship.

The connection between them was evident in their shared moments of laughter and the warmth of their exchanges. They often found themselves caught in easy conversation, their voices blending with the background noise of the wedding festivities. Each glance, each smile, felt like a small confirmation of the bond they were nurturing.

One afternoon, as they worked together on organizing some wedding details, Sidharth looked at Sana with a thoughtful expression.

“You know, Sana, I’ve really enjoyed these past few days. It’s been nice getting to know you better.”

Sana blushed slightly, her heart fluttering at his words.

“I’ve enjoyed it too, Sidharth. It’s been great to have someone to share this experience with.”

Their moments of closeness continued to grow, but both were hesitant to label their feelings. They brushed off their growing fondness as a natural result of their friendship, never fully acknowledging the deeper emotions that were beginning to surface.

As the days of the wedding continued, their friendship blossomed, marked by a genuine connection and an unspoken understanding. While they both enjoyed each other’s company and looked forward to their interactions, they remained convinced that their relationship was purely platonic.

Unknowingly, both Sidharth and Sana were growing closer in ways they hadn’t anticipated. Their growing affection was masked by the guise of friendship, and they each hoped that their bond would continue to flourish, no matter where it might lead.

A month after Sahil’s wedding, Sana was deeply engrossed in her new book, the afternoon sun casting a warm glow over her workspace. Her focus was interrupted by the familiar beep of her phone. She glanced at the screen and saw a new friend request notification from Sidharth Dutta.

Surprised, Sana hesitated for a moment before tapping on the notification. Her curiosity piqued, she saw that it was indeed Sidharth’s profile. She remembered their pleasant interactions during the wedding and wondered what prompted him to reach out now. With a mix of anticipation and nervousness, she accepted the request.

Almost immediately, a message popped up from Sidharth:

“Hi Sana! It’s been a while since we last spoke. How are you?”

Sana’s fingers hovered over the keyboard for a moment before she responded:

“Hi Sidharth! I’m doing well, thank you. How about you?”

Sidharth’s reply came swiftly:

“I’m good, thanks for asking. I was thinking about our conversations from the wedding and thought I’d reconnect. How’s your book coming along?”

Sana’s heart warmed at his thoughtful message. She quickly typed back:

“It’s going well! I’ve been working hard on it. It’s been quite fulfilling. What about you? How’s everything on your end?”

They continued chatting, and the conversation flowed easily. Sidharth updated her on his recent activities and shared some funny anecdotes from his work. Sana found herself enjoying their exchange, feeling the same ease and comfort she had during their time together at the wedding.

As the conversation continued, Sana couldn’t help but smile. The unexpected friend request had brought a refreshing connection back into her life, and she was looking forward to seeing where it might lead.

“Hi Sana! Yes, beta, remember I mentioned the business party for our new merger with the S&S group? "

Gautam Ji’s voice came through on the phone, warm and familiar.

“Oh yes, Uncle! I remember! I’ll definitely be there,”

Sana replied, trying to match his enthusiasm.

“We have a little surprise for you, beta!”

Gautam Ji said, his tone filled with excitement.

Before Sana could respond, Pallavi Ji’s voice echoed from the background,

“Sana beta, make sure you’re dressed well! The suitor’s family will be there!”

Sana forced a smile, her heart sinking a little.

“Sure, Chachi. I’ll be ready.”

After the call ended, Sana sighed deeply, her thoughts drifting to the recent conversation. The surprise Gautam Ji mentioned was likely related to the suitor’s family, which she had been dreading.

She recalled her earlier decision to avoid meeting any suitor directly.

“Whatever the family decides, I will accept,”

she had said, trying to mask her apprehension. Her family’s insistence on her being open to the idea of marriage had led her to this point, even though she was still grappling with her own reservations.

Despite the assurances she had given, Sana couldn’t shake the feeling of unease. The thought of facing a new suitor and their family was unsettling, but she knew she had to go through with it, as a part of her commitment to her family’s wishes.

As the day of the event approached, Sana steeled herself. She hoped that this surprise, whatever it was, would be a positive one and perhaps even a step toward finding her own sense of peace and acceptance.

The evening of the party arrived, and Sana prepared herself with meticulous care. She wore an elegant evening gown that clung to her figure, accentuating her silhouette in a sophisticated yet alluring way. The gown was backless, adding a touch of sensuality to her ensemble. Her long hair cascaded in soft waves over her shoulders, framing her face and adding an extra layer of grace.

As she stood in front of the mirror, Sana took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. The gown, while stunning, made her feel both confident and self-conscious. She hoped that the evening would go smoothly and that her appearance would be met with the respect and consideration she deserved.

As she arrived at the venue, the ambiance was vibrant, with guests mingling and soft music playing in the background. The grand hall was beautifully decorated, adding to the festive atmosphere. Sana scanned the room, her heart racing slightly as she searched for familiar faces.

Gautam Ji and Chetna Ji greeted her warmly, their eyes reflecting pride and affection.

“Sana, you look absolutely beautiful,”

Chetna Ji said, her voice full of admiration.

“Thank you, Aunty,”

Sana replied with a smile, though her thoughts were elsewhere. She knew the suitor’s family would be arriving soon, and she was bracing herself for the encounter.

As the evening progressed, Sana found herself engaging in light conversation with the guests. Despite her outward composure, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and nervousness about the upcoming introductions. She hoped that her presence and demeanor would speak for themselves, and that the evening would bring some clarity or comfort regarding her family’s expectations.
