As the evening progressed, Sana continued to mingle with guests and engage in light conversations, her attention occasionally drifting toward Sidharth and his family. Despite the glamorous and busy atmosphere, she felt a tinge of unease, especially considering her recent reluctance about marriage and the pressure she felt from her family.

Gautam Ji and Chetna Ji were busy ensuring everything went smoothly, their faces beaming with pride and anticipation. The event was a success, and conversations about future plans and alliances were a topic of many discussions among the attendees. Sana remained unaware of the underlying significance of the evening for her own future.

It wasn’t until the formal announcements began that the truth came to light. Gautam Ji took the stage to address the gathering, his voice echoing across the hall.

“Ladies and gentlemen,”

Gautam Ji began,

“Tonight is not just about celebrating our new merger with the S&S group but also about celebrating a personal milestone. We are thrilled to announce a very special alliance.”

Sana, standing to the side, glanced around curiously, noticing the focused expressions on the faces of those around her. She felt a knot tighten in her stomach as she realized something significant was about to be revealed.

Gautam Ji continued,

“We have found a wonderful match for our beloved Sana, who has been a part of our family for many years. It is with immense pleasure that I announce the Wedding of Sana with Sidharth Dutta.”

The words struck Sana like a bolt of lightning. Her heart skipped a beat, and she looked over at Sidharth, who stood with a calm yet noticeably pleased expression. The realization that this alliance was meant for her left her momentarily stunned.

Chetna Ji and the rest of the family clapped and cheered, their faces radiating happiness and satisfaction. The applause was deafening, but Sana’s mind was racing. She felt a mix of shock, confusion, and a sense of inevitability.

Sidharth, seeing Sana’s reaction, took a few steps towards her, his demeanor both reassuring and respectful.

“Sana,”

he said gently,

“I didn’t know you were unaware of this arrangement. I hope this doesn’t come as too much of a shock.”

Sana’s voice was barely audible as she responded,

“I… I had no idea. I thought this was just a formal event. I didn’t realize…”

Sidharth nodded, understanding her surprise.

“I understand. We’ll have time to discuss this further. For now, let’s try to enjoy the evening.”

As the guests continued to celebrate and the event carried on, Sana felt a whirlwind of emotions. The future that seemed so uncertain now felt increasingly inevitable. She had to come to terms with the unexpected turn her life had taken, and as she glanced over at Sidharth, she couldn’t help but wonder what the future would hold for them both.

Sahil and Mohana noticed Sana's visible surprise and approached her with concern.

Sahil looked at her, his brow furrowed.

"Sana, you didn't know about this?"

Sana shook her head slowly, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"No, I had no idea. I thought this was just a regular business event. I didn’t realize my family had arranged this."

Mohana stepped closer, her expression a mix of sympathy and support.

"We knew something was planned, but we didn't know the details would be revealed like this. I’m really sorry for the surprise, Sana."

Sahil placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Look, we can talk to Dad and sort this out. If you’re uncomfortable or need time, we can figure out a way to address it."

Sana sighed, her emotions a tangled mess.

"I just didn’t expect this. I’m not sure what to think right now."

Mohana nodded understandingly.

"Take your time. We’re here for you. If you need anything or just want to talk, let us know."

Sana appreciated their support and nodded.

"Thank you. I think I need a moment to process all this."

Sahil and Mohana gave her space, stepping back to allow her some time to gather her thoughts. The evening, which had started as a celebration, had taken an unexpected turn, and Sana found herself grappling with the realization of her upcoming engagement and the implications it would have for her future.

As Sana tried to compose herself, Tania Ji and her sister approached her with their usual air of superiority and disdain.

Tania Ji, with a sharp edge to her voice, said,

“Well, Sana, it looks like Gautam Ji has managed to ‘sell’ you off to the highest bidder. I suppose it’s quite easy for him to do so, considering the lucrative contract that comes with this alliance.”

Her sister, equally disapproving, added,

“It’s always about business with your family, isn’t it? They didn’t care about your feelings, just the profit. How effortlessly they’ve arranged this marriage to benefit themselves.”

Sana's face flushed with hurt and anger. She tried to keep her voice steady as she replied,

“You don’t know anything about my family’s intentions or my feelings. It’s not right to judge us based on assumptions.”

Tania Ji smirked, clearly unbothered by Sana’s response.

“Oh, please. It’s clear that they see you as nothing more than a bargaining chip. But don’t worry, Sana. I’m sure you’ll fit right into your new role.”

Sana’s heart pounded, the sting of their words making it hard for her to maintain her composure. Just then, Chetna Ji arrived, her expression a mix of concern and anger.

“What’s going on here?”

Chetna Ji asked, her voice firm.

Tania Ji looked up, unfazed.

“We were just expressing our thoughts on how this marriage arrangement was made. It seems Sana’s family has prioritized their business interests over her happiness.”

Chetna Ji’s eyes narrowed.

“Enough of this. Sana’s happiness and well-being are important to us. If you have issues with how things are handled, take them up with the family. Don’t take your grievances out on Sana.”

With that, Chetna Ji gently guided Sana away from the confrontation, trying to shield her from the harsh words. As they moved to a quieter corner, Chetna Ji spoke soothingly.

“Sana, ignore them. They don’t know what they’re talking about. Your family’s decisions are made with your best interests in mind, even if it doesn’t always seem that way.”

Sana looked at Chetna Ji, her eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and confusion.

“I just didn’t expect this, Aunty. It’s all so overwhelming.”

Chetna Ji nodded understandingly.

“I know it’s a lot to take in. But remember, we’re here to support you. If you need to talk or need anything, just let us know. We’ll figure this out together.”

Sana managed a small smile, feeling a bit reassured by Chetna Ji’s words. She knew the path ahead would be challenging, but with the support of those who truly cared for her, she felt a glimmer of hope amidst the confusion.
