@kareema577 here you go ❤️
Muhammad stumbled back, his mind reeling. "What are you saying? If you're not my mother, then who is?"
Sauraniya's cold expression softened, but only for a moment. Then she revealed the truth that shattered everything. "Your mother was the first wife of the king, Muhammad. Aliyu is your blood brother, same father, same mother. I... I'm not your mother."
Muhammad froze, the revelation cutting deeper than anything he could have imagined. "Then why, Mama? Why would you do this to us?"
Sauraniya's voice trembled as she spoke, her bitterness barely concealed. "Because your mother had everything I wanted. the king's love, the throne, and you boys. I was nothing but a shadow, always left behind. When she died, I was finally given a place in this palace, but it wasn't enough. It would never be enough."
Muhammad's eyes filled with tears, the betrayal too much to bear. "You could have had our love, Mama. You didn't have to destroy us."
She shook her head, her face twisted with pain. "It wasn't about love, Muhammad. It was about power, about taking back what I believed was mine."
Sauraniya's voice wavered as she finally revealed the truth. "I got pregnant out of wedlock for Nasir's father. He promised me marriage, but he lied. Instead, he married Fatima's aunt and took my son away from me. I was left with nothing."
Muhammad's breath caught in his throat as the pieces fell into place. "So all this, your hatred, your schemes, it's because of what happened with Nasir's father?"
She nodded, her eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and fury. "Yes, Muhammad. I lost everything because of them, and I vowed to take back what was rightfully mine."
Her voice trembled with bitterness. "They never treated my son the way he deserved to be treated. They looked down on him, cast him aside, and made him feel like he was nothing. And I couldn't bear it. I wanted to make them pay, to show them that my son was worth more than they ever gave him credit for."
"And I wanted him to become king. He's the only one who deserves it. After everything he's been through, he deserves happiness too, and I was willing to do whatever it took to give him that."
Muhammad's voice shook as he asked, "What happened to my mother?"
Sauraniya's face twisted with a mix of satisfaction and regret as she replied, "I killed her, Muhammad. She died when she gave birth to Aliyu, but it was no accident. I made sure of it. I couldn't stand the thought of her having everything while I had nothing. So I took it all away."
Her voice was cold, devoid of any remorse. "I took everything because I also deserved happiness. I killed her parents, her father, and even her aunt. They all had to die. They stood in the way of what I wanted, of the life I believed I deserved. So I erased them one by one."
He recoiled in horror, the full weight of Sauraniya's confession crashing down on him. "You... you murdered them all? You destroyed so many lives, and for what? For power? For revenge?"
Her gaze didn't waver. "Yes, Muhammad. For power, for revenge, and for the happiness that was stolen from me. They took everything from me, and I wasn't going to let them win. I was going to make sure my son had everything that was denied to me, even if it meant destroying anyone who stood in my way."
His voice trembled with a mixture of rage and despair. "You've ruined everything, Mama. You've caused nothing but pain and suffering. How could you do this to your own family? To me?"
Her voice grew colder as she added, "And when your father found out about everything I had done, he too lost his life. I couldn't allow him to expose me or take back the power I had seized. I had to eliminate all threats to my plan, even if it meant losing him as well."
Muhammad's voice cracked as he spoke, disbelief and anger boiling within him. "You killed both my parents and hers... all for this? For some twisted sense of happiness and power?"
Sauraniya's lips curled into a cruel smile. "Yes, Muhammad. I did it for this, for the happiness and power I believed we deserved. I made sure nothing and no one stood in our way. It was all for you, for our future."
Her eyes were filled with a cold determination as she revealed her final plan. "I made Nasir do what he did to you. I twisted his mind, made him hate both you and Aliyu. And now, Muhammad, I'm going to eliminate you, just like I did the others. Nasir will rule, as he should."
She pulled out a gun and pressed it against his chest, her fingers hovering over the trigger.
And bam! The trigger went off, echoing through the room. Muhammad flinched, expecting the searing pain, but it never came. Instead, he looked down in shock to see Sauraniya stumbling backward, blood spreading across her chest. The gun slipped from her hand as she realized, too late, that the bullet meant for Muhammad had struck her up instead.
She collapsed to the floor, her eyes wide with disbelief and pain.
Muhammad's gaze darted across the room, and there, stood Nasir, holding a smoking gun. It was Nasir who had pulled the trigger, saving Muhammad in the very moment Sauraniya had intended to end his life.
Nasir's face was a mix of rage and sorrow as he stared at the woman who had manipulated him for so long. "I couldn't let her take you too," he said, his voice trembling.
Nasir's voice trembled with deep regret as he faced Muhammad. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his words filled with sorrow and remorse. "I never wanted it to end like this."
Muhammad looked at Sauraniya's lifeless body with immense pain. The woman he had considered a mother, who had shaped so much of his life, lay dead on the floor. The betrayal and loss were overwhelming, leaving him with a deep, crushing sorrow for someone who had both given and taken so much from him.
The whole place soon learned of her death. Sauraniya was clothed and laid to rest.
Fatima's heart broke when Muhammad told her everything. She couldn't believe that the woman she had looked up to as a mother was the one who had made her an orphan.
Fatima hugged Muhammad tightly, and he cried on her shoulder. The pain he felt was intense grief for losing Sauraniya, betrayal from her actions, and deep sorrow seeing how it hurt Fatima. His tears flowed freely as he struggled to cope with it all.
His body shook with each sob, the grief overwhelming him with every breath. His heart felt crushed by the betrayal and loss. He was overcome by a deep emptiness, as if a part of him had been ripped away.
The sorrow seemed to seep into every part of him, leaving him numb and exhausted. His cries were a raw release of the agony he couldn't fully express.
He felt like his heart was being shattered into a thousand pieces, with every breath bringing a deep, unending sorrow. The pain was intense, leaving him feeling hollow and broken.
That night, they held each other close, crying together. They found some comfort in being together, even though the pain felt endless.
