The classroom was almost empty, the sun setting outside casting long shadows across the floor. Jimin wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, glancing around as he finished stacking the last of the chairs. The after-school cleanup had taken longer than usual, but at least it was done."Is that everything?" Taehyung asked, leaning against a desk as he surveyed the room.
"Yeah, I think so," Jimin replied, his gaze drifting to Yoongi's desk near the back of the room. He frowned slightly. "Did Yoongi leave already?"
Taehyung looked over to Yoongi's desk as well, his eyes narrowing when he noticed something. "Wait... his bag is still here."They both walked over to the desk, finding Yoongi's bag and phone sitting neatly on top. Jimin's heart skipped a beat, a sudden unease settling in his chest.
"Where did he go?" Jimin muttered, his voice tinged with worry. "He wouldn't just leave without his things."
Taehyung's expression darkened, and he glanced around the room, as if hoping Yoongi might suddenly appear. "Maybe he went to the restroom or something? But it's been a while..."
Jimin's anxiety grew as he scanned the room, his mind racing. "We should ask the others if they saw him."
The two of them quickly approached the remaining classmates, who were still lingering in the hallways. One by one, they asked if anyone had seen Yoongi, but the responses were all the same—no one had noticed him leave."He was just here," one student said, shaking their head. "But I didn't see where he went after class ended."
Jimin's hands started to tremble, his breathing becoming shallow. "He's not answering his phone either..."
Taehyung reached out and squeezed Jimin's shoulder, trying to stay calm despite the growing fear gnawing at his insides. "We need to call Jungkook."Jimin nodded quickly, his fingers fumbling as he dialed Jungkook's number. The phone rang for what felt like an eternity before Jungkook finally picked up.
"Jimin? What's wrong?" Jungkook's voice was tense, as if he could already sense the urgency.
"Jungkook... Yoongi's gone," Jimin blurted out, his voice shaking. "We were cleaning up the classroom, and we found his bag and phone, but... he's not here. No one saw where he went."
There was a pause on the other end, and Jimin could hear Jungkook's breath hitch. "Did you check the bathrooms? The halls?"
"We checked everywhere!" Taehyung interjected, his voice rising with panic. "He's just... gone."
Jungkook's heart raced, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. "I'm coming to the school. Stay there."
As soon as he hung up, Jungkook bolted out of his room, his thoughts spinning. His mind kept replaying the moments from earlier that day, when he had seen Yoongi, smiling and finally opening up to him. The thought of something happening to Yoongi made his chest tighten with fear.
But then he remembered Eunwoo's words from before. Maybe Yoongi had just gone off somewhere to clear his mind. Jungkook tried to hold onto that hope as he called Eunwoo.
"Eunwoo hyung," Jungkook said breathlessly when Eunwoo picked up. "Did Yoongi come back to the bar?"
There was a moment of silence, and then Eunwoo's voice came through, calm but with an undercurrent of concern. "No, he hasn't. But, Jungkook, Yoongi sometimes takes off like this. He goes off by himself to... to clear his head. It's not unusual for him to be gone for hours."
Jungkook bit his lip, trying to push down the panic rising in his throat. "But it's getting late... what if something happened?"
Eunwoo sighed on the other end. "I know you're worried. But I've seen him do this before. He'll come back when he's ready. Just try not to worry too much."
