Yoongi's first day at his new school dawned gray and somber, much like his mood. The emptiness in his home had grown unbearable since his mother's death, and now, without her, he felt even more alone. He trudged to school, his heart heavy with grief and anxiety.

The bustling hallways and chattering students made him feel even more isolated. As he wandered through the corridors, trying to find his classroom, he spotted Taehyung and Jimin. They were surrounded by their friends, laughing and joking as if they hadn't seen him.

Yoongi felt relieved that they were at least ignoring him. But he was wrong.

"Hey, Yoongi," Taehyung called out, a wicked grin spreading across his face as he approached.

Jimin followed closely behind, mirroring Taehyung's expression.

Yoongi's heart sank. "Taehyung, Jimin... please," he began, but Taehyung cut him off.

"Please what? We don't know you," Taehyung sneered. "You're just some loser who showed up at our house."

"Yeah," Jimin chimed in, "you don't belong here. Or anywhere, really."

Taehyung shoved Yoongi against the lockers, causing a few students to glance over and quickly look away, not wanting to get involved. "How's the single room in the backyard?" Taehyung mocked. "Is it cozy enough for a nobody like you?"

Yoongi felt a lump form in his throat, but he refused to cry in front of them. "Why are you doing this?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Because we can," Jimin replied, giving him a hard shove. "And because it's fun."

They continued to taunt and shove Yoongi until the bell rang, signaling the start of classes.

Taehyung and Jimin laughed and walked away, leaving Yoongi to pick up his scattered books and try to compose himself.

Just as he thought his ordeal was over, another group of boys approached. Minho, the leader, was tall and intimidating, with a cruel glint in his eye. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Minho said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"The new kid already making friends, I see."

Yoongi tried to walk away, but Minho blocked his path. "Where do you think you're going?"

Minho demanded, shoving him back against the lockers. "We're not done welcoming you."

Yoongi's heart pounded as Minho and his friends closed in on him. "Please, I just want to go to class," Yoongi pleaded.

Minho laughed. "Class can wait. We need to show you how things work around here."

"But tell me, why are so pale honey? Your skin looks so beautiful... If I look carefully you are really pretty...like a doll! I like ruining pretty things."

Without warning, Minho punched Yoongi in the stomach, causing him to double over in pain.

"This is for thinking you can just waltz in here," Minho said, kicking Yoongi's legs out from under him.

Yoongi fell to the floor, gasping for breath. The other boys joined in, kicking and hitting him while he lay there, defenseless. "You're nothing," one of them spat. "Just a piece of trash."

The assault continued until Yoongi was left bruised and bloody on the bathroom floor. His body ached, and his vision was blurry from the pain and tears.

When the bullies finally left, Yoongi struggled to his feet, his body trembling. He stumbled to the rooftop, the only place he thought he could find some peace. Once there, he broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. The pain in his chest grew worse as he hyperventilated, his asthma making it hard to breathe.

After cooling down a little, he went to the class with bruises covering him. Its not like anyone cared. One of the teachers just asked him if he wanted to go to the infirmary. He just shook his head.

Hours later, after school was over, Yoongi wandered the streets, searching for a job. He went from shop to shop, but no one was hiring. Rejection after rejection left him feeling even more hopeless.

Exhausted and defeated, Yoongi returned to the small room in the backyard that he now called home. He hadn't eaten anything all day, and his head was spinning. He grabbed a store-bought onigiri and took a bite, tears streaming down his face as he chewed. The taste was bland, but it was the only thing he had.

Yoongi sat there in the dark, feeling utterly alone. The weight of his grief and the cruelty of his new life pressed down on him, making him feel like giving up.
