"Yuudai, go play with Shoto," I softly said as my very tiny sister followed Touya and me to his room.
"I can't play with him. He's with his dad," She softly replied playing with her dark brown hair.
Touya's eye twitched at the subject of his father and brother. I placed a hand on his arm, attempting to calm him down.
"Go hang out with Natsu or Fuyumi then. I'd like to spend some time with Touya alone."
She sighed, walking away from us to go find the other kids.
"Took you long enough to lose her," Touya whispered.
I hit his arm.
"Unlike you, I love my sister."
"Why? You know she's replacing you."
"That doesn't mean I can't love her. Until she does something to prove that I shouldn't love her, then I will stop loving her."
"And what would that something be?"
"She turns out like a mini version of my mother."
He chuckled.
"Valid."
I gave him a small kiss on his cheek as we snuck out of the back door. The woods where we trained were supposed to be off limits, but we never listened. We wanted to prove to our parents that we could be as good as our siblings. Well, Touya did. I was just there for support. I already lost all faith in me being as good as Yuudai. When you realize your training is just a form for your mother to hit you, and you weren't actually training, it was easy to see that all faith was lost. My hope in helping people was still there. Faith in being just as good, if not better than Yuudai was lost.
It's easy to see what's wrong with yourself when you're constantly reminded of what's wrong with you. No one can ever be alone in this world.
"Ushy, did you see that flame?" Touya exclaimed, bringing my attention back to him.
"Of course I did! Just remember to be careful; you're getting a ton of burns."
"I know, I know. I'll be careful. Let's just see if I can do that again!"
He kept letting out intoxicating red flames. The beauty of them was both terrifying, but peaceful. Watching him train his quirk gave me a sense of peace, it silenced my head, it made the world stop.
How was I blessed with him?The large blue fame surrounded Endeavor and Hawks. The nomu had been taken down after many minutes of the two top heroes attempting to fight it off. I watched the small TV in the well kept bedroom.
I can't believe that the nomu didn't take Endeavor down.
I pulled out a more comfortable shirt.
I don't plan on going out tonight, so a comfortable shirt seems nice.
I looked back at the news on the TV. The news woman was talking about how we still had peace, how Endeavor could be our symbol of peace. I rolled my eyes.
He could barely save his son. Him being the symbol of peace would be as helpful as talking to a brick wall.
My door opened.
"Hey, Pey, have you seen my-" Pandora paused and stared at me, "Are you watching the news?"
"Yeah..."
"Why?"
"Because I wanted to see if the nomu would kill Endeavor off already."
"Oh, okay."
"What did you come in here for?"
"I wanted to know if you saw my platforms. The black ones with the chains?"
"Oh, yeah, they're in my closet. I forgot to put them back after you let me use them for my date with Dabi."
She rushed over to my closet, taking her platforms, and putting them on. She was quiet for a moment, and then she walked over to me.
"Pey, did you always feel different?"
I raised my eyebrow, unsure of what she meant by "different."
"Well," She began, "Did you always feel like you weren't like the rest of the kids at school? Did you always feel disconnected?"
"Why do you ask?"
I sat on my bed, inviting her to sit next to me.
"Because I've been thinking about my childhood, how I always kept away from other kids. I felt like I didn't belong, so I didn't try to make any friends."
I looked down.
"I knew I was different, hell I was told every day how different I was, but I didn't stop talking to people. In fact, that's how I tried to keep my sanity. That's how I still try to keep my sanity."
She sighed.
"I guess I just have a love hate relationship with myself and my family."
"I feel that."
I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her into a small hug.
"You have me, and Odessa, and the others. We're all different, Pan."
"Yeah. I love you guys."
"We love you too."
You're dear to us, Pandora. Now that Shigaraki's plans are going through, you're the only person who can help balance this place out. You are part of the reason I'm balanced.
